  1. The absolute essentials for 80+% of the audience are WTTJ, SCOM, NR, KOHD, and PC. The rest can be subbed in and out as alternates. Here's a condensed setlist where Axl gets the same number of breaks as he does now: WTTJ ISE/YCBM/Slither My Michelle/Anything Goes/OTGM/Reckless/SOYL RQ/DTJ (Axl break song in second half) CD/Better/TIL/Shackler's/IRS Locomotive/Coma/Estranged Duff Solo (Axl break) TWAT/Prostitute/Madagascar/Sorry/ITW/SoD/Catcher Civil War/Breakdown/PTU/The Garden/Bad Obsession/Down on the Farm/Yesterdays ABSURD/Hard Skool/Scraped/Dead Horse Perhaps/The General/Monsters/Atlas KOHD Slash Solo (Axl break) SCOM NR Nightrain Encore: Don't Cry/Patience PC That's 16 songs for Axl to sing. Iron Maiden do 15-16 songs on their tours. Between a shorter set and keeping at least two nights rest between shows, Axl's voice should be in OK shape for a few more years. With just one night rest between Seattle and Vancouver this year, I could tell Axl was struggling a lot more at the latter show, and then there was the two nights back-to-back in LA later which really took its toll on him. Could bump it up to 17 or 18 songs depending on how Axl feels on the night.
  2. Baffles me that they included a bunch of songs from that on the UYI Deluxe CDs... but not the epic performance of Civil War :/

  4. Also a fan of Kundun and The Dark Knight Rises.
  5. I wasn't expecting the mix itself to be different from the leak, but I was expecting the clipping to be gone. What on earth happened there???
  6. Was treated to Nobu in London once, the black cod in miso sauce is amazing.
  7. I think the lineup changes killed any chance of the video releasing. Why release a video with Finck, Bucket, and Brain when they were no longer in the band?
  8. Huh, it's a 30th birthday party for the lady who recently had a kid with Al Pacino.
  9. Nice, looks like my video appears around 3:44
  10. The drums on the Hard Skool demo are so fucking good it's baffling that they were completely rearranged and dumbed down. My ideal version would have the demo drums with the guitar and bass parts from the 2021 mix, and not be brickwalled.
  11. Could also be that Fernando didn't make any moves while Kat was still in a relationship with Fortus (which I think was that 2010-2014 period?).
  12. I could fart into a microphone and lay it over the existing demo and the effect would be much the same.
  13. Just browsing that site after someone shared the Perhaps/General SHM-CD from there earlier.
  14. No one has anything. As soon as more than one person found out about the Village CDs, they leaked. The General and Monsters will be the last official release for a while. Until then we’ll have a barrage of troll and fake insider bullshit.
  15. Yeah I remember these quotes But I still wonder, what did that original Finck guitar track sound like? Did he do another take once Axl decided he didn't like May's solo? Did Buckethead take a stab? Or did it go straight from May to Bumble?
  16. Was thinking about Catcher today. Before May added his solo, did Finck have a take? After Finck rejoined the band, did he or Bucket ever lay any other solos? Or did the May solo stay until Bumble added his? It's weird that Bucket doesn't have any credits on it, did he never touch it? If they had played it live in 2006, who would've played the solo, and what solo?
  17. That's the House of Blues '01 show from Jan '01, the Joint shows were in December.
  18. Steve Hoffman of the infamous Steve Hoffman forums on whether SHM-CDs sound better or not:
