I don't really comment in here but I have watched a shitload of films lately:

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World - Just trying to hard

Predators - So much more than I expected, take away the history and its a great stand alone film

Anamorph - Really enjoyable but missed a trick with the suspense by focusing on unimportant details

The Experiment - Good film but not a patch on Das Experiment

Antichrist - Just a step to far for me, gratuitous to the extreme

The Mechanic - Does what it says on the tin and as much as I like Stratham your never gonna get an acting master class from him

Finished Oz. I'm kinda glad it was the last season because of the decline in quality. However, there's stuff I'll always wonder because it was one hell of finale.

The execution of Cerly(sp?) had me in tears you really gota give credit to The Winter brothers.

Burning Palms is like watchable Von Triers.

I thought it was alright. Sucker Punch is coming up next.

Palms was like a demented Short Cuts. SP is kind of interesting visually, I enjoyed watching it. it seems like the perfect movie for the post-film world.

but huge robots destroying buildings seems so awesome. ultimately I prefer the old idea of films like Winter's Bone or Blue Valentine. Synder is almost like the best empty visually impressive movie maker out there, perfect for I Max.

Kingdom Of Heaven (Director's Cut) - One of the worst cases of executive meddling I know. The Director's Cut of the movies is 3 hours and 10 minutes long, but for the theatrical version they cut about 45 minutes out of it, and apparently they cut what made the movie interesting, namely the political plot and everything that didn't have the main character in it. So they movie got some pretty bad reviews when it came out, understandably. Which is a shame cuz it's a very good movie in the long version. Big, medieval epic, with elaborate sets, lots of detail, thousands of extras, awesome battles etc (it's by Ridley Scott). Looks amazing, quite interesting story too. Maybe a bit too much on the moralizing side, and Orlando Bloom is kinda awkward in the lead role, but still, I'd recommend.

Primer - This is completely different. If you feel like getting mindfucked you should watch this. About two friends, physicists, that accidentally build a sort of time machine in their garage. So it shows their reactions to having this power to go back to a certain checkpoint (real life ctrl+z basically), but then about one hour I kinda lost it. I like complicated scripts but I think I'm gonna have to watch this one again.

I really liked Winter's Bone. It's sad that a movie like Suckerpunch makes more money and is viewed by more people.

Winters bone sounds like a porno, or is that just me??

lol it does. but unfortunatley it's almost the opposite of a porno. it's good but it's not very sexy.

Lincoln Lawyer. has a cool 80/90s vibe, kind of fun a serious way. cheesy one liners. like a good episode of LA Law. hope there's more Connelly adaptations. Concrete Blonde would be good or Echo Park.

Point Break finally, last night. The thing with a movie this famous is you already know everything that happens. And even stuff that you don't know for a fact will happen, you suspect it, like of course

the partner dies. The partner always dies.
But very good movie nonetheless. And seeing Ronald Reagan with a flamethrower is something else, I tell you!

Extremely good and overlooked film, imo.

it doesn't make much noise, but it did really make them believeable as clones, humanized the clones. kind of heartbreaking but then it turns it around really well.

I just saw the new Transformers movie in 3d last weekend. Def. a "summer" flick and you would probably have to be into Transformers to really enjoy it, which I am. The 3d was really cool too...1st 3d movie I've seen in years.
