If that changes in a month or two I might consider it but don't forget that the site itself was promised a few months ago and has only just gone live. At the moment the only good thing would be the access to presales but none of the shows sell out so that's a bit pointless really.

I don't think GNR needs the money that much but let's say this paid membership is to compensate the damage done by download motherfuckers (Sad thing is that those DMF are still not punished but the real fans are and the real fans already bought all the offical stuff) Edited February 16, 2012 by avahland
Dazey
More millitant than HTGTH? Almost impossible!!!Almost but let's be honest this is even closer to camp GnR if that's even possible!
Guest NewGNRnOldGNR
The forum should be abstract from the fan club, in other words a public, free facility. I think access to forum is part of the package because there are few other worthwhile features to offer at this current time. I hope the camp revise this and move to make the forum a free concept, otherwise I can't see it garnering much activity when there are other viable alternatives out there to express one's opinions regarding GN'R. I think most would find it difficult not to pay up however if members were seen to engage in regular debate with the fans via the forum, particularly Axl (who in the past has availed of more official platforms like gnronline). I think access to forum is part of the package because there are few other worthwhile features to offer at this current time. GNR wants a forum for hard core fans only....other fans are free to have their own...but I guess the paying fans will get more privileges than just that forum. They probably will hear new music before others...but that's ok with me...as long as there will be new music ! Guest NewGNRnOldGNR
GNR wants a forum for hard core fans onlyGN'R wants a forum for those willing to pay? There seems to be no criteria other than that. Anybody with the amount of $ listed can declare themselves to be a 'fan', even if latter would fail miserably at a related trivia that others won't/can't pay would ace. I wish GN'R would offer a free, official & fair alternative to forums under the operation of non-camp figures, effectively.

RocketQueen1985
wow. another attempt for this band to rob their fans of their hard earned cash. it's not already bad enough that they are charging premium tkt prices to basically watch a tribute band play afd on these tours?! shit move on the guns camp part. this should be free. It's because of people like you we've got to pay 50 bucks
Guest NewGNRnOldGNR
Why would you want that?I think there'd be better opportunities to engage with GN'R, think Axl would be more comfortable with the idea of engaging in a more domestic forum. I also believe the fans' sentiments would be more direct in terms of camp reception.Furthermore, I'd be more comfortable in the agenda of an official GN'R forum i.e. rather than certain forums which operate for cash, or adopt a specific policy, like Jarmo's totalitarianism and censorship or Sladdi's site's hipster "too cool for Guns N' Roses" attitude or other figures on ego trips of possessing power Edited February 16, 2012 by NewGNRnOldGNR

HarleyGnR
A number of bands do similar packages, so it's not out of the ordinary. Shinedown for example: http://www.shinedown.com/become-a-shinedownnation-member/They charge $35 a year for nearly an identical package. So with GnR being a much bigger band $50 or $30 whichever you go for, isn't that bad. And who's to say stuff won't get added in the future? Ie, possessing membership giving you access to meet and greets at any gig you attend and so on.I swear people moan just for the sake of it sometimes. If you don't like it, don't pay for it. Simple.
