no1gooner
Might be the same setlist-again...but...far from a cashgrab...I see/hear/feel a bunch of young hungry dogs putting in a damn lot of energy, fun and passion.Great show as far as I can judge...and it's till early...there might be other/new songs later in 2012 !Here's hoping for the new songs. Could be just crap, but this Irish paper is saying maybe they may use their time in Ireland to rehearse new songs. question is did they make it up or is it part of the conversation axl/management appear to have had with the promoter going by some other parts of the article. http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2012/0128/1224310869204.html Edited February 13, 2012 by no1gooner

AXL_N_DIZZY
It's more important for Axl (gnr) to please the casual fan than their hardcore fanbase. Obviously the casual fans outnumber us by...a lot...and their money is just as good as ours. So to keep them paying, they play the songs they all wanna hear. It's pretty simple.Very well said. That's the straight-up reality of the situation. Hopefully us "hardcore" fans get rewarded with a new completed website and then a new album sometime in the next 24 months or so... but other than that the emphasis will continue to be on the casual fan who wants to hear the classics. Economics 101.
MAXITO
You guys seen not to understand that most people are not checking whtas going on in GNR all the time like we do. The band is playing for a general audience, the audience that needs to know the new band, memebers and music, they do not play for the people on this forum only.So do not expect anything it would satisfy only you! gmsugaree
my guess is no chinese democracy at roseland because they couldnt have the pyro in that room for it. Was there pyro at T5?
Jessiee422
had an amazing time at Terminal 5 last night. Although i enjoyed Roseland better... I toughed it out, waited in the freezing cold for 3 hours last night, nabbed 2nd row and was quite happy. Gladly dealt with the stupid aggressive ppl in the crowd trying to surf, one falling on my head, another trying to start a mosh pit slamming us around but what i don't get it why are there all men up against the railing? lol. Some were super cool, esp one near me who would move to the side just enough to let me squeeze my hand in when any of the members (esp Axl) got close enough but this one 6 ft goon would not budge at all! dude, you are twice my size, you can't scoot over a little?? damn! i don't want your spot but man up!! what are you hoping Axl touches you or sings to you!? ugh! but other than that cool night. Going to wednesday's show too. Would like to hear more songs from Lies but i'm happy just getting to see them and seeing Axl perform so well. KetchupNotMayo
Whatever happened to IRS, that was close to a staple in 2006 and ever since CD came out, nada. I always did like that song live, the Rock Am Ring performance was bitchin'.

bumblecool
Axl rose aka God.........have you heard of a forum called htgth? I think you might really enjoy it there. It is a forum where you can only praise the band. You would fit in well there. People aren't allowed to have opinions, unless you actually think that a rock and roll singer is a God. You can go there and call people cupcakes and haters if they don't bow down and worship everything that your God does. And they welcome all Axl Nutters there with open arms. You actually care what other complete strangers think about a rock forum? Wow!!!!!! You need to step away from the computer and go outside into the real world.THe point is this isn't a rock forum, it's a fucking fan forum! If you aren't a fan you don't belong here. You don't decide who belongs here. Maybe, by your assessment of who should and shouldn't be on this board, you should quit posting here and go sign up on htgth? Your're one of the most loyal to lord axl, I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms. Thanks, but you don't decide who should sign up on htgth or who should quit posting here B) Edited February 13, 2012 by bumblecool

They can skip for example Rocket Queen and Mr. Brownstone and perform 2 new songs. Why do they have to play so much classic songs when most of the band members don't have any affection with these songs? If Axl wants to profile this band as the new G N' R than he has to look to future instead of relying on the past so hard.THIS..... is so true. No, it isn't. The problem is that many of us here have skewed perspectives. We do not make up the majority of those in attendance. We make up the minority. That cannot happen at a show with the current lineup. So, that being the case, the majority of the audience is more casual fans, and while the more hardcore fans may want different songs or new songs played, that will not appeal to the casual fan who makes up the bulk of the audience.Ali
