I don't see how playing this throws a bone to "die hards". A couple of nugnr nerds online, who have for some reason clung to this song, yes. Overall die hards, no. A real treat would be Coma or Double Talkin' Jive or something. Can anyone listen to the intro to this song and actually think it sounds cool, not like an intro to the Lion King or something lol.I've played it for people, they seemed to have enjoyed it.Maybe its the lyrics, the vocals, the epic sound, not to mention the guitar solos. Come to think of it I think Double Talkin Jive works better than NyQuil.Brodie, the solos were comped, deal with it.For me, the effects/keyboards sound lame. The guitars sound overly digitized, like Ron's robotic tone on Estranged live. Axls vocals sound weak as, very nasally with no grit what so ever in his voice. It comes down to personal taste and things of that nature.Although I've never heard Bumblefoot's style described as "clean" before. And that's also based off of the 3 CDs of his that I own.They all sound pretty dirty, gritty, imprecise, and hard-rock to me. High bass, high gain, lots of distortion. But the real issue is that you kids are so insecure with yourselves that you take offense at someone's opinion and get defensive when they coax you about being so touchy. Then in further attempts to seek to validate yourselves, you magnify that defensiveness with insults, profanity, and general negativity. That kind of attitude really pollutes what message boards are all about: civil debate, discussion, and discourse. TL;DR: Grow up. Work on your shit attitude.
