PARIS — Police say Guns N’ Roses front man Axl Rose was robbed of three gold-and-diamond necklaces worth some $200,000 after the hard rock band’s concert in Paris.

A Paris police spokesman said Wednesday that the lead singer of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band was fuming after the theft during a private gathering after the band’s show at Bercy stadium the previous night.

Judicial police have opened an investigation but the spokesman said it didn’t appear Rose was wearing the necklaces at the time. The spokesman spoke on condition of anonymity because of office policy.

The group’s website says they are scheduled to play in Moenchengladbach, Germany, on Friday before returning to France as part of a tour of Europe and Israel that runs through July 22.

Hahaha! Sorry but anybody dumb enough to spend $200,000 on a fucking necklace doesn't get a great deal of sympathy from me!

To be fair, it was three necklaces totaling $200,000.

Ah, well that's okay then! Not bloody stupid at all then in that case!

Another article that says it was a private concert for 100 people....

Paris thieves steal gold, diamonds from Axl Rose

Thieves stole gold necklaces and diamonds worth around 200,000 dollars (160,000 euros) from Guns N'Roses frontman Axl Rose as the singer gave a private concert in Paris, a police source said Wednesday.

The theft late Tuesday enraged the 50-year-old singer from the US supergroup and police were called in to calm the situation, the source said.

Rose held his private gig, attended by around 100 people, after a public performance at Bercy stadium.

The singer is the only remaining member of the original line-up of the rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and whose best known songs include November Rain, Patience, and Sweet Child o' Mine.
