Estranged Reality Posted November 1, 2012 Share Posted November 1, 2012 i do think it's a little...surprising, maybe, that - given the nature of this residency (celebrating Appetite in particular) - he's letting the new bandmembers do their normal solo spots. I mean, i guess it's good, in a way, that he's letting them take the stage, but i guess i was expecting the shows to be a little tighter, lighter on the breaks, and a little more focused on appetite and chinese...y'know, mix things up a bit, play some of the stuff like 'think about you' and 'my michelle' that got ditched over the years and more chidem selections.i'm not complaining, just saying i'm a little surprised at how the setlist is pretty much the same again. wouldn't mind seeing shackler's, riad, oh my god, scraped, prostitute, madagascar... maybe some of them will still show up.edit: pretty cool that they added the young song to the setlist, though. Surprised, or disappointed? I would say I'm the latter, and I don't even follow the band nearly as much as I use to. I suppose we'll see by tomorrow night, but I feel as though it'll be the same old thing we've already seem for years now. (Minus a song or two...)
