Tater Totts
Preordered and paid my deposit for it yesterday.
downzy
Yeah, I've got to get on that. Anyone preferential to certain pre-order offers? Is there any difference between Amazon, Gamestop, Best Buy?
Forsaken
Apparently audio has leaked to those who have pre-ordered a digital copy of the game somehow from Sony, ending audio and all. Tread lightly guys.
downzy
I put this behind a spoiler tag for those who want to experience the game completely fresh.Click below to see what the map of GTA 5 will look like. To get a sense of the scale, a map of GTA: San Andreas is superimposed on top. For those who don't want to see it, I will say that the GTA 5 map is insanely large! bacardimayne
You wanna see a REAL idea of how big the map is? Another: Edited September 11, 2013 by bacardimayne

downzy
They say you can fit GTA 4, Red Dead, and GTA: SA all in GTA 5's map. Tater Totts
Apparently the city area is the same size as GTA
wasted
it would be awesome if you could play through all the cities in every game connected.

PappyTron
I never seem to get a break and get an early game release. I'll have to wait until Tuesday along with all of the other mooks.
ColdHeartBreaker
Spoiler tags are on - there's no story elements being shown here.Something that can happen with the wildlife in game:leaked footage, completely chopped up from the website VINE. Looks like it was recorded with a potato Doesn't show much - but the game is definitely out there, should make for an interesting weekend. bacardimayne
That driving looks way too easy, the handling is ridiculous. I want GTA IV driving back.
Forsaken
Not looking at any of these. The wait will be worth it. Seeing the map was enough for me lol I like that GTA Online isn't going to be launched until 2 weeks after GTA V; gives everyone a chance to have a good go at the main story first and also something else to look forward too. Well played, Rockstar.

You and the other guy in the world that agrees with you can have it. Driving mechanics were one of the biggest cpmplaints I heard about 4. Yeah, because no one took the time to get used to it and got mad when they couldn't blaze down a skinny street at 200 mph without swerving wildly if they tried to do a u-turn. The problems with IV were in lack of variety (both in gameplay and setting). Edited September 12, 2013 by bacardimayne
AxlisOld
Like you could in every other GTA? Yea, that'd be a problem.
bacardimayne
Like you could in every other GTA? Yea, that'd be a problem. It would. They're dumbing the game back down because people couldn't handle a bit of a learning curve. It's a shame.
AxlisOld
Actually they're bringing back what was apparently one of peoples' favorite aspects of the game. Not everything has to be a realistic life simulator.
bacardimayne
Seems to be the way they're going with every aspect but the driving.
wasted
IV was more realistic other than the driving, or was realistic in that you can't just floor it and wheel spin and hockey stop round the streets. I used to just jog from place to place. Once I got a chopper I never drove.

I had to slow to a crawl just to make it around a bend without slamming into something; in GTA IV I could at least powerslide or weave through traffic.
