Powerage5
Went and saw Trumbo last night. I thought it was great - the acting was all top notch. I'm not usually a fan of Louis C.K., but I thought his role here was excellent and Bryan Cranston was in fine form.Thinking of going to see Brooklyn some night this week. Anyone seen it yet? Val22
Scream Queens finale.I was very disappointed with it. The first hour wasn't bad, but the second hour revealing the real killer was just so stupid. Ryan Murphy missed it with this show.

RandallFlagg
Watched about fifteen documentaries on the politics behind the politics of the cold war, shit never changes, it's still america and russia squawking over pieces on a chessboard and backing rancid pawns. It's more messed up than a car full of dogs eating nettles, the car is going off a cliff but nobody cares as long as they get their share of nettles. Powerage5
Went and saw Brooklyn last night. I really liked it, even if that sort of film isn't usually my cup of tea. I went alone and I ended up being the only one in the theater - luckily I took a flask of Canadian Club to keep me company.

Len Cnut
No worries Skip, wasn't sure they'd be your kind of films though! Check out Hell Up In Harlem. I've seen The Mack so many times i can quote it verbatim And you're right, Friday Foster is a bit naff. DieselDaisy
wasn't sure they'd be your kind of films though! Why on earth not? I grew up on cheapo exploitation cinema, kung fu, Italian horror, Japanese chanbara. It stands to reason that the blaxploitation genre would have turned up in my youth - granted I never became obsessive about it as the 'chop socky' genre but Coffy and Foxy Brown were regulars in my teenage years.
