I Can’t Give Everything Away CD preorder on AmazonBlackstar CD/Vinyl bundles on Bowie's site w/ lithographsAlong with the new album coming out in January and the Blackstar single coming next week (10 minutes in length!), Bowie's also contributed "reworked" versions of older tracks such as This Is Not America to a New York play based around his old film The Man Who Fell to Earth, called Lazarus:http://www.newyorkcitytheatre.com/theaters/newyorktheaterworkshop/lazarus.phpI'd love to see him do one last tour, but it seems like he's sticking with working in the background and just releasing material than touring and doing interviews. Little EMO Annie Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I am very fortunate to be going to NYC next month to see LAZARUS. Is in a very small theater of 199 people. Is going to be one of tnose once in al lifetime performances like seeing GNR at the Brooklyn Bowl. The New York Times had a great article. 2 Quote
Bumble's Bridge Pickup Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Fucking hyped for this... If I had the option to time skip to Nov 20th right now, I would do it.Marvel's Jessica Jones premiering that day, too Quote
Gackt Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 Even a one-off show in NYC would be amazing, but I can't imagine him just going out and doing shows again since he doesn't even make public appearances anymore..Very curious how the new album is going to sound, this new single sounds like it'll sound like something off of Bowie's Low 1 Quote
classicrawker Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Saw Bowie in the Boston Fleet Center during his Reality Tour, his last real tour, back in 2004 and would kill for him to do another tour. From what I have read he claims he is healthy so we can all cross our fingers he will tour behind the new album. Quote
Gackt Posted November 14, 2015 Author Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) Latest article on Bowie's site says the song & album title will simply be ★(pronounced Blackstar )http://www.davidbowie.com/news/watch-video-teaser-online-now-55121 Edited November 14, 2015 by Gackt Quote

Estranged Reality Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 It's a phenomenal song. I instantly like it better than anything on The Next Day, I think. Quote
Little EMO Annie Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Could somebody please explain the meaning of this video to me. I really don't get it even though I thought it was pretty cool. Quote
dalsh327 Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) I had a Bowie thread going and added the rest of the videos from Next Day on there, adding Blackstar and another song it reminds me of. Edited November 21, 2015 by dalsh327 Quote
Towelie Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Wow. That new Bowie song is weird, even by his standards. Good weird though. Will definitely have to check out the album.Fucking legend. Quote

SurfsUp Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) i'm extremely excited to hear this record. blackstar was incredible, and i'm really digging this track as well. definitely his most ambitious project in decades. i love the fact that he could have just retired after his last record, but instead he's dishing out some of his sonically most interesting work since the berlin era.really great stuff. Subtle Signs Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 (edited) I guess it's a good thing I saw him with NIN about 20 years ago. I'm a casual fan at best. Would he even be any good performing live these days and how would anyone know since there isn't anything recent to go by? Edited December 25, 2015 by Subtle Signs Quote

Gackt Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Album's leaked..caved in and listened to the songs on youtube since there isn't an official stream yetTis a Pity - Very similar to the demo released last year, but sounds more jungle-like with breakbeats, wild sax and a sped-up tempoSue - VERY different with a heavy drum n' bass riff instead of strictly jazz, much of the jazzy vocalless sections have been removed effectively cutting the length of the song in halfDollar Days - Piano/sax focused track with a mid-tempo riff, Bowie's vocals are fairly strong here with interesting lyrics and an okay chorusGirl Loves Me - "Where the fuck did Monday go?" Loving the instrumentals and vocalsI Can't Give Everything Away - Another high-tempo drum beat track, with some background synths and sax; vocals are very strong, probably the most "vintage" Bowie has sounded in over a decadeA bit disappointed that the whole album wasn't similar to the title track in terms of being experimental, but for those interested:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaZXCumTG2MQbGSs_bE8JcQ/videos8/10 as a whole Edited December 31, 2015 by Gackt Quote
Black Sabbath Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Second half of the album is better than the first, in my opinion. Overall probably a 7/10 from me. Quote
