Also random, but I saw this on Tumblr.

Don't know if this is from this year's Thanksgiving or an older post, but I think it's sweet that the first thing she mentions being thankful for are her brothers. Always good to see they're still close.

And she considers the Lebeises her adopted family too (though I sort of knew that already, I've read something similar before somewhere...).

Her name is Amy Bailey again?

Did she divorce the lanky guy from the Baz/Axl pictures? I notice she doesn't mention any husband in her message either.

Just wondering if you guys heard this already? Can't help but laugh every time I hear it. Best gnr song by far

Cringeworthy.

Thank god Duff at least grew some brains.

I dont think I said anything offensive.... I saw the picture and that's the impression I got. Not sure why I sound like a dad.... Maybe it is because I'm detail-oriented and I love interior design, architecture and everything that has to do with aesthetics. I don't like seeing houses falling apart, especially if it's someone who's got the money to improve or fix it.

Oh dear, my comment must have come across wrong... You didn't say anything offensive at all, I was being humorous, hence the smiling emoji. Apologies if you felt slighted.

Just as I have posted on official socmed thread,  "I feel great and so happy, thank you all. Cherry on top, there'll be new dates and tickets coming up and we'll announce it soon. And of course, we're going to continue our world tour. Cheers"

awww, that's cute

I tried to see it once also, but didn't really like it...Anyways, now I have to check that one you're talking about ;)

Speaking of TV shows, I always liked 'How I met your Mother' - except the final! Really what the fuck was that? Don't even get me started  - and I think that part of me liking that show so much was due to its slight but spot on references to Guns N' Roses. The Chinese Democracy ones were so, so good :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol:

Check it out:

I didn't even exist when the AFD 5 were running the world. Don't make me feel bad :P

How I met your mother is my favourite tv shows despite the ending and I've never noticed the amount of gnr refrences. Love this video

Hey guys, you wrote so much and there is so much I would like to comment on. So this post is rather long, at least because of the quotes...

oh please Axl... never get a clue about your sexuality :drool:

Exactly, that's what makes him so special, so tantalizing, so mesmerizing :) And i had to laugh about the "I am more confused by this thread than Axl is by his sexuality" (or so), because yes, I can relate to that. :) But i love this thread, too! Which adds to the confusion, somewhat. :D

Here's a pic of Axl's house....

Dontcha think it looks a bit sad and creepy?? like abandoned??

That roof it is in incredible bad conditions....

Agree. Totally abandoned and all. Weird. Makes my sceptical self think if Axl's got financial problems and and if it is why he really needed the reunion?

Anyway, his house needs new paint at least, if not more plants and flowers around. Some people don't like too many flowers around as they want to highlighten more of the architecture than some coziness. But in a state like that it is not flattering to the architectural quality at all.

Very cute little glimpse of Axl, yeah. His bandana reminds me of the one he wore at Ritz 88 gig. So maybe this is backstage at the Ritz? Does enyone know?

Axl, the Emojis Man :wub::rofl-lol::devilshades:rock4:popcorn::ph34r::axl92::heart:

It is so infantile to use all these emojis, right? He is 54! And still, it's somewhat cute.

About How I met you mother: love the show, hate the ending and never even realized all those gnr references. Thanks for pointing that out!

This touched my heart. I cannot imagine what Axl is like as a brother. Is he really attantive and older-brother-like or does he want to be pampered and cared for as the rockstar he is?  But i think it is touching that she mentiones her brothers and her adopted families. It is sad and beautiful at the same time, considering, what she went through.

Doesn't look any new thing for me :shrugs:

Exactly!

Cornshucker, absolutely cringeworthy. As well as It's so easy, really. As much as i can enjoy the music (and blend off the lyrics) the whole sexism and mysoginy really gets me, the older I get.

Speaking of old age and original AFD line-up. I first saw gnr on sky channel in 1988 or 1989. I immediately fell for their music, of course. I was really into hardrock and some metal at the time. But what a sight they all were! My metal-dude-sore eyes (never liked the looks of any of those metal guys around at the time, neither the hair metal dudes) relished by the sight of Axl - and Slash. What a mesmerizing relief Axls face, his hair, his body, his dancing, his dancing!!! was to my eyes, I cannot even begin to tell you. In the 80ies, when you did not like posh upper class boys, romantic sappy song singing boys with teased hair, nor metal dudes, you were lost, really lost. :)

Protective, for one. Axl was very concerned about them being around his step-father and tried hard to get them away from him, which led to him making up jobs for them so they could work for him and always be with him. Iirc, Axl also talked about how important it was to him to make sure his sister is safe from his (their?) step-father.

He also mentioned not always getting along with them when they were younger because their parents set them up against each other or something, but they worked on overcoming that as adults.

Thank you for the info. This is a really heartwarming move of Axl, I think. What a terrible terrible childhood they all had. I have no words. But I am happy for them that they cared and care for each other later. I hope for them they are close and supportive for each other. I wonder if Axls siblings were able to be there for him during his depression years in the 90ies (and beyond).

Same. I was 11 in 1988 when the "Welcome to the jungle" video showed on MTV. I was blown away by their music, their styles and their attitude. I immediately wanted to be like that cool guy in those silly banana pants  I was lost forever, started playing guitar and the rest is history.

I was 12 by then, and I remember thinking well damn...the dark curly headed dude doesn't have a face, the red head is pretty, the two blonds were funny and the brunet was cool as hell...then I fell in love

Am I the only one that actually likes Cornshucker? It's just a silly crappy session song and they were having some fun. Kinda like Axl and My World, only Cornshucker actually has great music which makes it listenable. And even if it is based on true events (which is most likely the case), it doesn't affect me in any way, shape or form so I see no reason to dislike it. Same thing with It Tastes Good, Don't It and to some extent OIAM (albeit for different reasons) and ISE.

People could use some, as Melissa would put it, "chill".

I like Cornshucker! I prefer the version that includes the count in at the beginning though.
