Graeme
Pretty sure he was actually in the suit for Chewbacca, rather than the voice actor. Anyway, he brought a lot of personality to a character that could have fallen flat if handled wrongly and had a great deal of passion for the role, and Star Wars as a whole. Rest in peace.

Padme
Horrible news. I'm a big fan of the original Star Wars trilogy. Peter Mayhew was part of that moment in the history of motion pictures. True, there was no such a thing as Chewbacca voice. It was sound effects. The sound engineer recorded and mixed wild animals sounds. And that is what we hear
soon
Sad news, rest in peace. He spent some time mentoring his Chewbacca replacement. So all the subtleties he brought to the character will live on.
dontdamnmeuyi2015
RIP Peter. He was one of the movies most iconic roles. Peter was to attend the Fan Expo in Dallas Texas this weekend. The man worked until he passed. He will always be remembered as a gentle giant among men.
