no, because "Used To Love Her live Belgium 1993" was released on YouTube and "Live at the Ritz 1988" with very good quality was shown on some official Locked N' Loaded release party or something. They have live footages. 100%

They have everything. The only reason nothing gets released is because of Axl. And honestly, it’s his choice. Yes, it sucks that we as fans possibly won’t ever be able to enjoy the majority of the footage/audio that exists but at the end of the day an artist has the right to do whatever they choose with the art they created. Not defending this just pointing out facts.

After he dies all of that shit will start coming out. That said, let’s hope that day is still very far away.

Not necessarily.  I think MCA from Beastie Boys had something in his will about restricting uses/releases of BB music.  For example, BB music apparently can never be used in a commercial because of this.

Fans are mortal too. In the meantime, some fans of the first hour who saw GN'R live in the 80s have unfortunately passed away. And year after year more old school fans will unfortunately leave our world. They deserve old material. More than the young ones like me^^. It's cool to see old material, but older fans who have seen the band live in the 80s or 90s will relate more to it.

Not even a Not In This Lifetime... concert on DVD / BR has been released. The most realistic thing they can publish. I would buy it because I've seen NITL gig 5 times (or 3 times? 2022 tour didn't have a name)

In 2050 they no longer need to come up with such old hams.

What, how do I have a choice on the train? You want me to bring my vinyl record player with me so I can get the mega full quality awesome audio experience everytime I listen to a song? Haha

Yes, but my point was unless I'm an unemployed loser with nothing else to do that's simply not realistic to do that all the time. Sitting in your home listening to music through hi-fi speakers is only possible if you aren't busy or don't have other things to do. While yes it IS better audio, hearing the same song through bluetooth compressed MP3 still gives me almost the same amount of enjoyment, when I do that I don't feel like "oh man this sounds so bad", I just enjoy the song. It is the way most people consume music these days because it is not a hassle and you can do it anywhere.

Technology improved a lot the last 20 years, like 15 years ago I used to listen to downloaded songs on my MP3 player with 64 kb/s quality, THAT was bad. Now it's really good if you have a streaming service that has CD quality of 320 kb/s. That quality is really good enough, whatever these elitist "oh but it's compressed" snobs say.

"Elitist snobs" - Jesus Christ. Do you think you're an 80s punk?

You do know what lossless audio is and how it's available over streaming services? Who said anything about vinyl? If there wasn't a market for this, and it was so specialist, then why does Tidal exist? Why has Apple released their Masters collection? These products are aimed at the masses. You seemed to take it so personal when it was purely a statement about peopl missing out on how the artist envisaged these songs being heard. Look at how Axl even wanted CD mixed. No one is saying you can't enjoy compressed music over Bluetooth. But if that's all you ever hear, then IMO, you're missing out on hearing so much of a record.
