Popular Post Bitchisback
A lot of people around here really don't give the Guns guys enough credit for this tour. At their age, to play as many dates as they have and to play shows as long as they have is almost unheard of. This tour has been nothing short of spectacular. People call it a cash grab which is so ignorant. They could play 85 minute shows if they wanted to. That would be a cash grab. I'm so happy to have these 3 back on stage and kicking ass. 6
The Holographic Universe
I saw U2 3 times this year and 3 times last year, and I wondered the same thing about the show length. But, GNR has Slash. Nobody wants to see The Edge do extended solos that aren’t a part of of a song. I’m pretty sure Metallica only does 2 hour shows at this point in their career.
Carburetta
Cool thread, thanks for the direction.
acor
I always wondered how its possible to listen simoultaneously to GnR and U2... I mean, I have varied musical taste, Im not discriminating when it comes to particular genres, but there are some things I simply don't understand- sorry, I can't imagine U2 (or Radiohead) fan rocking to Nightrain... As for this thread- I don't know what he means... 3 hours setlists??? Edited July 24, 2018 by acor

People have diverse taste in music, and I mean within one and the same person. I love Dead Can Dance, and yet I listen to System of a Down, too. What does that say about me? I could listen to classical music, and I could listen to metal (even within one day). Not to mention Guns have certain ballads, and so do U2, so these are not even too far from each other...

ZoSoRose
A U2 show is different than a GNR show, but they are still superb love. Ive seen U2 3 times

As for this thread- I don't know what he means... 3 hours setlists??? GNR, Radiohead, U2 are in my top 10 (maybe even top 5) favourite bands of all time. I'm pretty sure Axl is a huge fan of both U2 and Radiohead (it was reported he saw Radiohead when they were touring OK Computer). GNR concerts can and have lasted three hours. U2 concerts are almost half that length.
ludurigan
u2 and coldplay and u2 and creed and coldplay and green day and alter bridge and u2 and coldplay and nickelback and u2 have got to be the most boring bands in the history of mankind along with creed, coldplay and u2
Sosso
This is actually the first time that @ludurigan has said something positive about the current line-up
