  1. That is some of Robin's best work, as is Better. Better and TIL are my favorite CD songs. (Not including the Village leaks, I love Robin's work on Zodiac 13, Perhaps, and Hardschool as well)
  2. I prefer the cleaner, more natural album version. The remix sounds too forced, he's basically screaming the entire song.
  3. Pictures would be great! Imagine if the can contents is a pre-Bumblefoot CD2 from an alt timeline.
  4. I know the feeling! Josh's drums on the Hardschool demo were incredible. I imagined there were mixes with Brain on drums that sounded nice too. The production really killed the drums. Sounds almost like a drum machine. Even Frank's playing is better, so I think they really processed Brain and/or Frank's drums on the official version. Axl's vocals also seemed off on the final version.
  5. I thought the second part of Slash's Hard Skool demo was good. It would have fit the 2000 mix of the song. I wish they didn't rework it to the extent they did.
  6. Slash's Perhaps solo, except for the end, seemed to be in the wrong tone for the song. Maybe it just sounds that way because I'm used to Robin's solo, at least they kept two seconds of it.
  7. I liked Axl on Sebastian Bach’s Angel Down from 2007. He’s on three tracks, including a cover of Back In The Saddle. Stuck Inside has some great Axl moments. Love Is A Bitchslap is probably the weakest of the three Axl tracks on that album. The album itself is worth a listen. I own a copy on compact disc digital audio.
  8. Even back in the CD-era, I preferred Bucket's playing to Bumblefoot. I feel the Bucket and Robin mixes of songs we have NITL lineup versions of are better overall because their playing and parts fit the songs better because they wrote the songs and were part of the initial creative process of them, and that makes sense because Slash is adding guitars to 20 year old songs. It's probably not even possible to get them to sound right. And the poor production doesn't make it any better. So far, I think Slash's best work is on Absurd. His solos seem to elevate that song from the leak with Bumblefoot and likely Bucket as well.
  9. I wish we had the 2008 Soul Monster for comparison, but I too find Monsters better than Hard Skool, Absurd, and Perhaps. I would imagine the CD-era version of Monsters to be even better.
  10. I'm sure they have plenty of concert footage and backstage footage from that time. Would be nice if they empty the vault! I'm sure it will happen eventually. That, in addition to an Axl/DC Blu-ray would be amazing.
  11. A behind the scenes documentary of the making of Chinese Democracy spanning the different lineups of that era would be amazing, especially if bundled with various different versions of the albums, CD2 and CD3 songs, etc. I don't think it would sell very well, but the hard cores would appreciate it for sure. They would need to release it after they are done with the slow drip of singles, for obvious reasons.
  12. I understand your point, but let’s say if the next album was 12-14 songs, it could easily contain a mix of new songs, reworked CD songs, and unchanged CD songs. If it’s mixed and mastered properly, most casual fans are never going to know Robin played on X, Slash on Y, Bucket on Z, etc. Plus it would make things easier and cheaper to not have to record more and remix. I’m not saying the above is likely to happen, but it could. I don’t think the more than half of CD2 that hasn’t been officially released will be abandoned. The real question is what form is will take. Hopefully, we get the original mixes with the older lineups as some sort of bonus or anniversary release if they are not just put out as is.
  13. A hacked email, if I'm not mistaken. It's from January of 2008. It started to circulate a few years later between a few, and eventually made its way out.
  14. I'd love it if a studio Silkworms exists with Buckethead and the full vocals we heard for the first live performances exists.
  15. I wonder what the 2008 mixes of Perhaps, Hardschool, Silkworms, The General, Soul Monster, Atlas, and Nothing sounded like.
  16. I have a 2011 HP laptop running Windows 7 that I use at home. It identifies as Windows 10.
  17. That is what I was thinking as well. I would need someone to explain what it means to me so I don't get into big trouble with the wrong words about people who are different.
  18. I was thinking about Monsters again today and about how it used to be called Soul Monster and had great Buckethead guitar work.
  19. I hope we get Monsters with Atlas (or whatever) soon. Then I can add that two-track CD to my Hard Skool CD and Perhaps CD, so that's 6 songs. Almost half of the second part of Chinese Democracy. Or better yet, they release the rest of the songs they have as an album, Slash or not.
  20. (It goes without saying, but all of the below are mixes with Bucket and/or Robin and Brain/Josh on drums) 1. Better 2. This I Love 3. Hardschool 4. Soul Monster 5. Zodiac 6. Seven 7. Madagascar 8. Shackler's Revenge 9. Sorry 10. Perhaps 11. Scraped 12. Oh My God 13. If The World 14. Prostitute 15. Tonto 16. Perhaps 17. Monstrocity 18. Silkworms
  21. A girl at my work "hearts" my work-related messages to her in our inter-office chat application. (As opposed to a thumbs up or whatever) I find it a little odd, but I wonder if that would be considered unprofessional? (Obviously probably not any form of harassment) Others have done it to me before, but it's usually her. It doesn't bother me at all, but I myself would be careful doing it to others. She happens to be attractive, but it wouldn't bother me regardless.
  22. I agree. It is difficult to assess, however. How many drinks is too many, etc. But when in doubt, don't do it! Gotta save room for Jesus. Sex is supposed to be a gift of God between married couples anyways.
