Is the footage mostly from the Europe tour earlier this year? Axl definitely looks slimmer in it than he did from 2016-2022. Also, is there anywhere you can buy the video in 4K? Think the iTunes one is just HD?

Anyone on CSI: GNR figure out what the building at 0:15 is? Thought it was Buckingham Palace at first but the columns are different. Also can see Axl wearing the Union Jack top hat at some point, guess that was taken from this year's Hyde Park show?

Nicely done video, love this kind of footage. Duff is definitely singing the lyrics at 3:23 but I think the bit with Axl at 3:30 is a different song.

Paid my 99p at midnight to buy it off iTunes. Finally, get to listen to it… and two minutes in I get a call. ”Sorry, I’ll call you back in four minutes” Dig the guitars, bass, and drums (I totally get what Axl meant about wanting Brain’s feel for the drums on ChiDem even when sticking to Freese’s arrangements). But I still prefer the demo. Still, happy to have this now, and as long as they keep releasing new music, I’ll hold up my end of the bargain and pay for it. Listening to the demo, the deep vocals were always there, just very low in the mix compared to to the official release.

The “I am not a crook” thing is well-known to my generation and above in the US, dunno about younger people in the audience

I think the earlier demos (the ones marked March 2000, especially Rough Mixes CD #1) were Freese, and later demos (November 2000 onwards like I'm Sorry) were Brain (him and Buckethead jamming together).

Full show is up on YouTube. Thought Catcher sounded OK, was happy when they swapped out SoD for it in 2013, was highlight for me then and in 2014. Slash's solo a bit better than the one he played at Houston 2016 which I watched for comparison, but will always love how Bumblefoot played the solo live 2013-14. I liked Slash's outro guitar playing. Anyone know what guitar this is? Slash used it for Catcher, has he used it for any other songs live?

Listening to Hotel California/Only Women Bleed/KOHD from the UYI Deluxe album, did they ever do more than 30 seconds of Hotel California? Thought Slash sounded really good on it.

Yeah, I generally love ChiDem but Tommy got done dirty, and his bass is part of why the demo of Riad is better than the album cut. His bass is super loud on the demo for the title track, too, but in that case it may be a bit too much, somewhere in between the demo and the album version would likely be ideal. I got the impression Tommy was probably involved in the mixes of the early demos which would explain why his bass is super loud, similar to how Mike Clink said that for Appetite Axl and Izzy would prefer mixes where they were more prominent, and Slash and Duff would prefer ones where they were the loudest, and Clink had to fight to get a properly balanced mix

I remember having to turn down the volume every time I would switch from listening to ChiDem to Death Magnetic. I'm not an audiophile and normally can't tell how compressed something is, but Death Magnetic was particularly egregious. Good thing we got those Guitar Hero mixes.

Was a nightmare trying to buy anything at Saitama shows in 2017, think they sold out of most event tees and lithos by 1pm, people rocking up with suitcases :/ Managed to get a litho at the second show for ZoSoRose by turning up not long after noon, but still gutted I couldn't get a Godzilla tee.
