They waited 15 years and got a fun cruisy song? I can see why some would dislike that. I like it. I like the Slither mash up better, though.its the 'breather' song on chinese, I just like the whole feel of the song but without Bucket it would be dead in the water shit, I would admit that. Theres so much awesome music you cant hear behind him, sometimes its good but certain little things he does just piss me off sometimes, if he never sang a note it could be one of the best albums ever, and everyone would go oh yeah thats guns n roses! anyway thats what i planned to say then i read the part about the fat man on cow porn and started laughing because it was very funny.If you just picture it with your eyes closed with the song playing and you dont laugh theres something wrong with you. Faithful part from Metallica's Memory Remains, but do like how that part canvasses across the speakers. Also, is there one song that everyone can agree is awesome from the album. Just seems like so much variation in opinion. I think the one song we all agree on is T.W.A.T.. I haven't heard anyone complain about that song.I love it how people have different favourite ones rock2 tells a lot about the record...something for everyone!I agree with this. It seems like half shit and half awesome because everybody seems to like half the songs and hate the other half, but theyll tolerate it because its Guns N' Roses. But thing about it is that nobody seems to have the same opinions on the same songs over here and thats kind of interesting. Something for everyone definately. You might hate a few songs but theres something for you on it for sure cant argue with that. I really hate sorry. I mean if you start a song off with lyrics like "You like to hurt me you know that you do" automatic mental response is "GAY" skip.The rest of the song after that could have saved it but you cant just pretend that shit didnt happen! I can definately see where it is liked though theres a good songs everywhere on this album hidden within bad ones.Other than that i hate This I Love and Madagascar. Just whining. Axl fucking Rose shouldnt be fucking whining like that! OK its totally cool for a few songs, like the odd November Rain and Estranged, but not half the fucking album! Its exactly half ballad half metal, if not even half metal. Prostitute is interesting enough musically that it may pass im just mad the guitar solo wasnt longer which i suppose could be considered a good thing but the endings just so very peaceful! It's relaxing and the spanish guitar, particularly the harmonies are beautiful to listen to and exquisitely executed, the vocals are really clean, and I quite like the simple sentiment... it's one of my favourites on the album. Some people love certain song yet hate others etc... but there is pretty much guarnateed to be something you dig. I personlly can't deal with Scraped and Rhiad and fine ITW interesting but far from my favorite.... but I listen Better, Shacklers, TWAT, and IRS almost everyday at the gym... just can't get enough of those tracks... everyone likes something, no one is right or wrong Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Still, it's quite complicated.Dude, I don't know about these guys but -- the good melody is exactly the reason I like Chinese Democracy. It's not the Buckethead solos (although they're cool too), it's the depth these songs have. I don't want to start a fight here or anything, it's just a matter of taste but when I listen to 90% of the songs on Slash's solo album, or Wasting Light (The new Foo Fighters album you liked) I really enjoy the songs but I know Most of those songs are meaningless to their writers, most of them don't mean squat to them, it's just a cool tune. Of course I like it all but the fact Axl went through shit and hell while writing those songs in Chinese Democracy, I think the result came quite deep and dark, it's a fucking dark album. I know This can sound gay in a certain way, but sometimes generic rock is enough, ya know? I'm not saying Slash's work is bad in any way, I'm just saying Axl made an album that actually meant something to him, with songs that are completely different from each other, they're not all based on riffs, they're not all talking about Rock N Roll, women and sex. You can say it's corny or gay, whatever, it's just an artsy and kick-ass album, in my opinion. This is the opinion of someone who knew and liked some GnR songs before Chinese, but through Chinese became a huge fan, and got to know the rest of GnR's material. Don't get me wrong, I love rock n roll, my favorite bands are AC/DC, GnR, KISS and Motorhead but I recognize the musicality in Chinese Democracy... Rhiad mainly cause of the long intro.so funny, I think ITW vocals are so damn good. especially live, what I`ve heard. CD is awesome album, everyone has their own opinion about it....perfect. Love this, hate that....just the way it should be, You dont hear people saying its ok, decent.
