Yeah and it sounded pretty shitty every other time they played it live, too.

Before you had Robin so it wasn't too bad but now both pieces are gone instead of one.

No one can ape Robin's style and no one can play as cleanly as Buckethead.

I hope you do know that Ron playes 100 times cleaner then BH ;)

he's also a much better guitarist. Ron is able to copy everything BH did but BH would never be able to copy what Ron is doing.

I love Buckethead but thats the truth

I heard this song live in Hamilton and I can assure you Ron did just fine with the solo. He was incredible as a matter of fact. I can't wait for a better quality video though. Axl sounds great and Ron's solo sounds pretty amazing.

Copying doesn't make him better. I'm sure someone out there can paint-by-numbers the Mona Lisa, but that wouldn't mean they're a great artist.

Nothing disrespectful to Bumblefoot at all here because he's a phenomenal player. Just making a point. Using copying as a justification of skill is stupid.

No way. According to Brodie nobody else could play the TWAT solo, only Bucket. Damn and I thought Steve Vai, Govan or Petrucci would do just fine playing it. Shame on me.

Uh, no, you are totally wrong. We're talking about one being clean, skilled player, so playing a solo note for note exactly the way it was meant to be played *IS IN FACT* an argument against Brodie's retarded statement. You are talking about musicality I suppose and it has nothing to do with the subject.

Buckethead is more proficient at actually making his guitar sound good. However, Bumble's got him beat in the elephant noise category.

Opinion.

We've had the Ron vs. Bucket poll may times and Bucket always wins. Ron is a great guy, no doubt about it, but I hate his solos on the Chinese Democracy album.

Ron is a great guitar player, Buckethead is from another world. You simply can't compare. And I also hate his work on CD.

@topic: great to see TWAT again, and that's it.

Ron is my favorite guitarist of all time. The guy's playing is like none other. He's outstanding. Buckethead is probably my second or third favorite. His playing is magical. I have a lot of love for both of them so I don't like seeing people back either of them. But Ron is in the band right now and he's doing incredible as always. Even with his injury. That man deserves a lot of credit.

Because a GNR fan forum is where you should look as the absolute truth as to who is a better technical (or overall) guitarist, no doubt.

I don't think he sounds particularly good on it...not bad but not great. I'll hold full judgement off until there's a better recording though, that audio is rough to be fair.

Yeah, it seems like he needs to work on his mid range cuz it sounds like his voice is breaking all too often. The high notes sound good though.

Lol at the guy singing along with the first solo! (I would probably do the same...)

November Rain

...I should really go to sleep...
