kanudo19 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Wanna try one, whats the best?Or something that got a bluesy rock sound. THANKS!!!this will give you the answer to ur "bluesy rock sound" anyway listen to "uncool" or the accoustic ep "barefoot"
Georgy Zhukov Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 (edited) Hermit and Hands are his best albums. Edited October 26, 2012 by Stannis Baratheon
The Glow Inc. Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Hard to say as they are all different. My favourite is 9.11 but if you aren't in experimental music or really into guitar in general, I wouldn't recommend starting with this one.Maybe start with either "Normal" or "Hermit" and see if you dig his lead playing style and then try something more out there like 9.11 or his Adventures of Bumblefoot album. The only album that I don't really like too much is Abnormal, mainly because of the vocals.
Bumble's Bridge Pickup Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Maybe the most straightforward rock album is Abnormal. IMO the best record he ever did is 9/11, it's about half instrumental songs though and is far from blues.
ChristmasFnatic Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 LOL! Thanks guys for the fast replies, though man the opinion varies.OK, lets just say, something that sounds like GNR/Aerosmith style of bluesy rock?MANY THANKS!

Silent Jay Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Normal or Abnormal. Uncool is great too. If you like these albums, then take a look at the acoustic album, Barefoot.
James Bond Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I like Normal better than Abnormal but both are a good place to start. Straightforward songs for the most part, mixture of lead styles, and some pretty clever and funny lyrics at times.
Bruno P. Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 The albums are too different from each other, if you want heavy and hard hitting songs I'd say Hands, then Abnormal. You should probably listen to both Normal and Abnormal, since they're his most accessible albums. They are concept albums, too, and you'll like to listen to them while paying attention to the lyrics - these albums tell a story about a man that needed to take meds to become normal, but those meds blocked his ability to write music. Eventually he had to choose between being normal or writing music...
LuanVictor Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 My favorites are Normal and Abnormal. Forgotten Anthology, Uncool and Hands are great too.

Jakey Styley Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I wouldn't listen to anybody saying anything that isn't Normal or Abnormal. It's not that the rest is bad, but it's certainly not good for a first time BBF listener looking for bluesy rock.

Normal being the first album, Abnormal being the follow up. Normal will tell you a great story, Abnormal took place after Normal - if that makes sense...
highvoltage Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Here's a hint - if you don't like Bumblefoot, or haven't heard any of his albums other than Chinese Democracy; don't post in a thread asking for suggestions as to his best album! Not that hard is it?
kanudo19 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 yeah people listen to high voltage. On topic, basically what we're telling u is to listen to every bbf cd there is , it's a matter of personal choice. But normal and abnormal are good ones to start with
ChristmasFnatic Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 OK, sorry, Im basically asking which is closest to bluesy rock.Anyway thanks!
Matthias Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 OK, sorry, Im basically asking which is closest to bluesy rock.Anyway thanks!Closest to bluesy rock is difficult to say, as none is that close to it. But Normal and Abnormal may be the "easiest" ones to get into.
RussTCB Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Wanna try one, whats the best?Or something that got a bluesy rock sound. THANKS!!!It's not bluesy, but my favorite BBF track is "Invisible". It's a single of it's own and hasn't appeared on an album yet.
ChristmasFnatic Posted October 27, 2012 Author Posted October 27, 2012 Thanks again guys! Getting "Normal" then! WOOOOOOO!!!
