Yes, I've seen every film made by Amenabar., he is brilliant. I liked Tesis more, so if you didn't watch it yet, I would recommend it. It's his first film and he didn't have much money but it's really good. Another good Spanish film: Not on your life (El verdugo) by Berlanga. Gracii Guns
I think I've decided what my personal favourite British film is. The Full Monty. I understand if anyone disagrees, but I've picked it because:1. It's a comedy which continues to be funny, 15 years after it's release.2. It's based in Yorkshire.3. It has a rather good yet not overbearing disco soundtrack. 4. The narrative balances real-life grit with really joyful moments.5. Yorkshire. Amir
Used to watch loads of French films, only a few come to mind now. Amelie, obviously. Also, Jean De Florette/Manon des Sources. De Battre Mon Coeur S'est Arreté (The Beat That My Heart Skipped) is great, too. Really, really hated A Bout De Soufflé (Breathless), tried watching one other Godard film after and thought it was pretentious wank.

Amir
Oi! Some of the best wanks i've ever had were pretencious, thank you very much!Disturbing mental image of you wanking while nibbling on 36-month aged Comté and having a glass of Saint-Emilion, then jizzing over a photo of Monica Belluci in Sight & Sound.
