Slash's Third Album - "World On Fire"

what about the US again? I could draw a crowd outside of it. Let's not start pretending that foreign countries determine relevancy. Doesn't work for Axl, doesn't work for Slash.

US doesn't care about rock music in general so go figure...

I've been here long enough to know that the only way to judge relevancy is by US standards. Ask anybody.

Can the mods stop this thread from becoming an Axl vs. Slash stupidity fest? Thanks.

On topic: I hope this album gets streamed on stupid Brazilian Spotify. All I can find is Live in Stoke, which I'm not a big fan of.

Only if the mods you're crying to can find somebody trying to turn this into an Axl vs. Slash stupidity fest. That would be my bet.

On topic: How well do you feel World on Fire will do in the US?

Both slash and Al came in at 2 or 3 overall

Remind me, how many albums were sold again?

Relevancy contains the rest of the other continents...

Whatever link is SiriusXM Octane Ch.37. I don't know where it is. You may have to be a subscriber to listen to it.

You do. Not only a subscriber but have the online subscription if you want to listen online. I've had the subscription for my car for about 5 years and had been told I could listen online as part of my subscription. Suddenly around the time you're a lie came out I couldn't log in and was told I didn't have an online subscription when I called to question.

You obviously don't come here enough or you'd know better.

Are we discussing Yank Bush style nationalism here or, the generally appreciative reception Slash's tours receive by the great majority of countries? Most Americans, from my perspective, have no clue on who Axl or Slash is and listens to rap and hip hop instead. What is your point here? By all means, say all rock music is doomed (sans, the nostalgia acts) but why single out Slash?

I know! Because you are up a ginger bum hole.

Only climbed up here to say hi to Slash. Don't let your jealousy eat you alive.

I used to be naive like you and said "what about the rest of the world?" when discussing the popularity of Guns N' Roses. The Slash fans of the forum used their collective brain cell to assure me that the rest of the world doesn't count. If 5 drooling idiots can combine their thought process and come to the conclusion that the rest of the world doesn't count, it truly doesn't count.

The point is, both of these guys are essentially, a bit 'washed up'. It is not 1992 and I do not see any benefit, for either an Axl fan or a Slash fan, on bringing up tickets. Slash can sell out - convincingly - theater sized tours in Europe. He is still, half way from arena status but then, Axl can only just sell out arenas in Europe (say, 80% capacity). It is six and two threes really. You could argue that it is better to sell out smaller venues, than have 2,000 empty seats in arenas.

Slash can only support arena acts in The States. He plays clubs. Axl uses South America as a sort of cash cow and plays occasional weddings and Vegas to pay his plastic surgery bills. Arena dates by Axl have been cancelled because of ticket sales. Both Axl and Slash die a horrible death in the United States. It is not really a point worth pursing if you are a fan of either of these artists. They both die.

I would rather be in Slash's position though.

This isn't an Axl vs. Slash thread and I have no idea why you would think that your brain farts on the subject would be any more relevant to me than World on Fire will be to the whole world when it flops in the US. Would you like to get back on topic and predict how much of his audience Slash will lose this time? My bet still stands at 25%.

Still 100% capacity sales then.

Officially out on iTunes

Edit: What a fucking nightmare it was to download that album. So iTunes sends me the email that it's out, and I go to download it, and all it's doing is telling me that I've purchased it, there's no option to download or anything. So I'm confused and clicking the shit out of the link iTunes gave me until I eventually decided to look it up, and found out to log out of my iTunes account and back in. So I did, and I go to the album and it comepletely forgot I preordered it. It had the little "complete my album" button, but I was FULL PRICE, even though it already charged me for the 3 tracks already released. So I ended up paying about $15 bucks for an $11 album. Thanks iTunes!!

Yep, another edit: Too Far Gone refuses to download, though all the other tracks downloaded fine.

Last edit: resolved :)
