- I think Axl's the biggest drama queen ever but I still love him

- I'm ashamed of telling people that I'm a GN'R fan

- I think Axl's cool

- I don't give Slash's solo work post snakepit's aint life grand the time of the day

- Both Snakepit records are two of my favorite records ever

- not really a GN'R confession but I really hate Myles Kennedy

- I love every song on the UYI records exept for My World

- I think that this "GnR" band that's touring is the biggest cash grab since the Die Hard movie colection.

- I hate the new band, but with that being said, I 'd still buy the new album in a heart beat

- From all of the members solo career, my favorite album is Izzy's 117º .

- I think that Izzy's the collest mofo on earth.

1) I understand pretty much every choice Axl's done in his life and don't have any need to bitch and whine about him not releasing music or not promoting the album or stuff like that. In fact, if I was Axl I might have done the same choices he's done.

2) That being said, I think some of his choices have been bad, but I understand why he's done what he's done nevertheless.

3) I think I spend way too much time on this message board or watching GNR videos.

4) I prefer My World over many other GNR songs. I enjoy weird creepy stuff. Better Gone is pretty fun as well. I wouldn't call neither of them a good song though.

5) I don't really like the solo material of any GNR members old or new. Some of Slash's and Bumblefoot's stuff is ok, but that's it. Oh and Velver Revolver had a couple of good tunes, but then again that's not really solo stuff.

6) I think Chinese Democracy is the best album of the decade, but that says more about the state of music these days, than necessarily the quality of CD.

7) I have nothing against team brazil but I don't have any reason to defend them either. My feelings towards the team is pretty much neutral.

8) I wish there was another band around whose music I'd enjoy half as much as GNR stuff. Sometimes I feel that I should start my own band just so someone would be doing interesting music again. Not sure if I could pull it off, but maybe I should at least try?

Best GNR confession: I was streaming porn videos but they were taking a while to load so I decided to check my regular websites for a minute. Now, I already had my dick in my hand, lotion on it and everything, sitting there with my headphones on. Someone had posted a clip of Estranged Tokyo '92 so I decided to click it. It started playing and without thinking, I was somewhat stroking my dick, just trying to keep it hard for when the porn was finished. Before I knew it, I was into the song and had closed my eyes and slipped away. It wasn't until the piano bridge that I realized I was jerking my dick to the beat of Estranged. I quickly became grossed out and turned the video off.

Now THAT'S a confession.

this was the best post on mygnr EVER

also yesterdaze's post is cool though (i'm run out of likes :/)

I wonder quite a lot if Axl should have toured and recorded as himself, playing smaller venues but getting $ from still having the band name. Thinking of Baz, Mike Monroe and so on, public reaction would've been more pleasantly curious and maybe 99% of the problems Guns have these days simply wouldn't exist.

And I'm hoarding Cuban Skies. I think.

- I hated the production and effects on UYIs at first

- I haven't listened to AFD in over a decade

- After CD came out, I was legit sad for like a week

- I try to make myself like CD 2-3 times a year

- Reading posts on this forum, I'm convinced that liking CD virtually requires bad taste

- There are 2 posters on the forum whose opinions on music I respect who like CD, so that confuses me sometimes

- I have never listened to a full album by any members of GNR outside of GNR besides Buckethead. And that includes VR

- I care way too much about the career of a washed up 50 year old nutbar

I've had a mancrush on Axl Rose since 1987. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

(Oh come on - I'm not the only one right???) :o

Haha is that why you dressed up for Brisbane do you still have the pic lol?

Na Mate, i dressed up for you, HV & J...

It was a great look even Ashba was impressed

- Reading posts on this forum, I'm convinced that liking CD virtually requires bad taste

I think liking GNR in general requires a little bit of bad taste. You know the stuff like: immigrants and hooray for tolerance!s, turn around bitch I got use for you, Gotta wash my dick after she makes me buttfuck her... Or the cheesy stuff like the smile that reminds of childhood memories where everything was a s fresh as the bright blue sky. Or you know, lyrics like "I don't like you I just hate you, I'm gonna kick your ass"

GNR has never been about good taste. But it's for example the interesting song structures that makes it all work. You know, how GNR songs sometimes don't even have a chorus but it works nevertheless. Not many bands can pull that off.

I love every single album put out under the GN'R name.

Most of my favorite guitar parts in history were written and performed by Slash.

I would be at a reunion show even though I know that it's a fantasy that only morons still believe in.

I would pay $15 dollars to see Slash at ribfest, or the state fair, or wherever he's headlining next.

Same goes for Duff, Izzy and Steven, but fuck Matt and Gilby.

I really don't care if idiots like Crash Diet think I'm one of the biggest cupcakes ever. At least I don't start and hide behind alternate accounts to do it. If this account gets banned, I won't be back here.

I am secretly jealous that team brazil gets to manage a great band and fail miserably at it. I truly believe that I could do better.

I believe that removing tb from Axl's life would be a positive thing for everyone except tb. Axl would benefit the most.

I'm only here for the laughs at this point because it's become way too apparent that Axl has no interest in releasing anything at all and nobody else is interested in putting out anything I like.

I do realize that the above could change in a heartbeat if anybody involved would just find a small amount of inspiration.

I do not expect that inspiration to be found in any of their lifetimes.

I hope I'm wrong.

-I have never listened to about 80% of the spaghetti incident.

-I think Prostitute is the best GnR song ever, and OMG is a close second.

-I think the 2002 lineup is better than the original lineup.

-I don't want an original GnR reunion.

-I don't think dj is a bad musician, he just looks like a goth teenager who hates himself and kicks puppies.

-When CD came out, I listened to Riad almost nonstop for 2 days.

-I like the 2001/2002 version of the blues, but think the record version of SOD sucks.

-ITW, TIL, you aint the first, and My Wold are the worst GnR songs ever.

-I think Riad, Scraped, and silkworms are good songs.

1) I think the CITR demo blows the CD Version out of the water. The guitar solo ruins the final (and best) verse.

2) After not following or listening to GnR for years, I loved the RIR 2001 DVD.

3) I never liked Matt Sorum and don't see him as part of 'original' Guns like many others do.

4) I think Bumblefoot is a generous and kind person, talented for sure, but lacking that rock star charisma.

5) I think it's pointless to refer to GnR as the most dangerous band in the world in this day and age.

6) I got Izzy's solo album, watched VR live in concert and NuGnR in '06 and '10.

7) I've lost interest in GnR since 2011 as it seems Axl has lost some of his drive.

8) I've ridiculed and mocked other bands with one original member, but have supported Axl's effort turning a blind eye to the issue of the name.

9) I did the snake Dance a million times, mostly to Mr. B, some other steps to You're Crazy lately.

10) I recorded myself singing the final part of Patience with an extended final note until gasping for air.

-I think calling CD the worst album ever is just as asinine as saying it's a masterpiece.

-I've listened to "The Spaghetti Incident" once in my entire life and don't plan on ever listening to it again.

-I rather Axl just retire the name once and for all than have a reunion at this point (although, I'd still take a reunion over what we have now).

-I do not consider current "GNR" GNR, but would still like to hear what Axl still has up his sleeves, and willing to give it a fair shot.

-I'm more than confident we will never get another album while Axl's alive. Post death record straight up 50/50.

-I think everything Slash has creatively done post Contraband has been utterly boring and borderline awful with only a few exceptions.

-I wish the hardcore fan base wasn't still divided in half and at each other's throats all the fuggin time.

Most of these confessions are just thoughts and opinions. Since my last "confession" achieved critical acclaim of the highest regards, here are a few more:

1. I've tried to do the Jungle scream to perfection hundreds of times into my phone's voice recorder while driving down the road. I understand the technique but there's no way I can reproduce it. I deleted all my recordings after I watched that guy's audition tape for Velvet Revolver and realized how stupid it must actually sound.

2. I spent about a year halfway believing most of the conspiracy theories about Axl, including that weird book some guy wrote called "The Illusion: Building the Perfect Beast." I've since moved on :)

3. I wondered if Axl's return in 2001 was *really* Axl.

4. I used the line "I'll never find anyone to replace you / guess I'll have to make it through / this time / oh, this time / without you." in an email to a girl after a really nasty break up. I feel probably as embarrassed as I ever could feel about that these days.

5. I used to think if I sucked up enough on HTGTH that I might one day become Jarmo's friend and then Jarmo would become Axl's friend and then I would be able to penetrate the inner circle. Looks like I was *kind of* on to something there...

My coworkers print out pictures/memes of Slash and post them on my computer and work area.

They also make fun of Axl and nuGuns to fuck with me.

One coworker likes to say things that end with the answer "Slash." Example: "Hey, do you know who the greatest guitarist is? [pause]... Slash."

Other similar shenanigans go on.

I do not get angry or upset about any of this. The whole vibe is comedic, although there are spirited discussions sometimes. ; )

1. I love all 6 of gnr's albums, but if I must rank them it will be this order from now until the end of time appetite, Illusion 1, Illusion 2, CD, Lies, Spaghetti.

2. I tend to be more on Axl's side than Slash's. Because of that I sometimes feel like a Slash hater, but thats not the case at all. I really wish they were still together.

3. I think the band should have released the leftover Illusion demos with This I love and Fall to pieces in or around 1996, it would have been huge. I freaking love Bring it back home. It also would have allowed Axl time to "experiment" towards CD. The album is pretty much already there imo.

4. Even though CD has its flaws, I feel it is the best album of the decade 2000~2009.

5. While I appreciate Robin Finck's contributions to CD, I feel the NUgnr fan base has drank waaay to much of his kool aid. I don't know if he would make my top 100 favorite guitarists list. He was pretty much dreadful live while in gnr.

6. I think Buckthead could have been/should have been the only lead guitarist in NUgnr, and I believe that Robin had a direct influence over Bucket leaving.

7. Axl in his prime is my all time favorite front man, he was absolutly captivating. Even to this day, he still has flashes of that greatness. I witnessed it myself in Detroit in 2011, great concert.

8. I will always support and follow whatever direction Axl takes gnr in the future, but I have to wonder if he is making the right choices?

9. I believe the people Axl has surronded himself with (outside of the band) have directly helped in turning him and the band into a joke. Maybe it is personally healthy for Axl, but is is very unhealty for the band and its fans.

10. I don't think Axl owes "us" anything at this point, but giving more info would be great. I want new music or CD leftovers at some point, but it does seem unlikely at times. I just wish Axl would say "No new music in the works" or "CD leftovers will come at some point" or "We are just gonna tour until I'm ready to call it a day" or "the band is planning on a new album with the current group". I just wish more communication took place. But if CD is the last gnr album we ever get, its not a bad way to end.

- I like This I Love and sing it with full rasp whenever I can.
- I prefer Matt Sorum over Steven Adler.
- I like Finck's contribution to some CD songs but I still think his take on Gn'R original material is utterly awful.
- I'll take the UYIs over AFD any day of the week.
- There's no way I'll accept any other line-up post 1993 as Guns N' Roses, ever.
- Back in 2001, when I first watched Rio 2001 I thought Buckethead was Slash with a mask for a really brief period of time.

- I supported Axl and his band until Rio 2011.
- Back in 2009 when Ashba was introduced, I wrote "fuck Slash" in a Youtube comment, then a guy replied "if you were a true Gn'R fan, you wouldn't say that".
- If a reunion were to happen, I'd be the first person buying tickets but if someone asks me, no, I don't want that to happen because Axl's voice is awful.
- I wanted the 2001-2002 line-up to succeed. They had so much potential but they weren't Guns N' Roses to me.
- The reason why I registered in this forum was because I saw how people were trashing former members, from Buckethead to Slash, yeah, specially Slash.
- I can't actually remember any CD song, just This I Love.
- I was the guy who threw a bottle to Axl in Lima Peru back in 2010 lol. Not really but I saw who did and said nothing.
- Seeing Slash sitting on Axl's piano performing the November Rain outro always gives me goosebumps.
- I have all Gn'R original records in my collection sans CD.
- I think Axl scream in the end of Paradise City (before Slash plays the outro) is hot as hell.

-When I was really really young, like, elementary school age, and heard GNR for the first time (I think it was WTTJ), I loved it, but it made me feel weird - almost ashamed; I think it was the...sexual vibe of it all. Hard to explain. I was always quick to say I thought the band was wimpy, or 'gay' when around others. Metallica and Megadeth, now those were real tough guys. I liked their music (which I did), so that made me a tough guy too. That was my thinking.

-I think the music that GNR created is among the greatest music ever made; and I think the greatest music ever made is the greatest thing mankind has ever done or ever will do. If life from other worlds are visiting earth, one of the primary reasons they are doing so is to listen to our music.

-I believe there have been moments during live GNR performnaces (and other bands too) where things occur, that if we knew what was truly happening, would change our notions/beliefs about reality.

-I think the first appearence of the 'Mickey Mouse' voice during the Argentina gig in 93' is very important. Not saying I think it was the reason that that was the last gig of "old" gnr - but I don't think it was a coincidence that it was the last gig, if that makes sense.

-And lastly, not a confession, just a strong opinion that I don't get the opportunity to express anywhere in real life: If the band would simply release a handful of old concert gigs that had been remastered, re-done, and spruced up to DVD quality, it would make jillions of dollars. They're sitting on a gold mine, and I don't think they really know how big the gold mine is. I'd probably start with the second night of the 91' RIR gig. Axl belting out some of those notes, strutting like the baddest mofo ever, wind blowing through his hair - put that in a TV spot - that kind of rockgodsmanship blows minds and hasn't been done since. A lot of people, even if they're familiar with GNR music (as most people are), either forget, or have never seen some of that stuff.

:o

Though I do like Sorum's double kick-pedal during the Nightrain solo in Argentina '93. And his drumming on YCBM is amazing. I just don't like most of his stuff on the UYIs. Was surprised to find I liked his drumming with VR, just think he was brought in at an awkward moment with his time in GNR.

- Chinese Democracy is my favourite record by GNR

- I prefer Robin Finck to Buckethead and couldn't give a fuck about Buckethead's gazillion solo efforts

- I don't regard Paul Huge as a joke

- I see Dj ASHBA as the only obstacle to Axl having a good line-up

Nothing too shocking I am afraid.

- I think Axl is a complete tool.

- Axl looked homosexual in the little shorts

- Axl is, 90% culpable, for destroying the old band.

- I pretty much hate newgnr, (although I did support them up until about 2002).

- Izzy is GN'R. Izzy's songs are all better than Axl's

- The band never sounded right again after Adler was sacked. Sorum was merely a 'clank clank' metal drummer.

- Axl ruined Illusion by adding the stupid FX.

- The 'trilogy' of videos is the most horrible thing in the universe, ever , ever.

- I am now, very, reluctant to admit I am a 'gnr fan'. It is embarrassing.

- "And you can take the biggest sofa" are valid YCBM lyrics in my book.

- Coma is a boring song

- Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Sorum/Adler, Gilby and Dizzy are the only real members of GNR.

- If you think things are bad now, just wait until GNR falls out of Axl's hands when he kicks the bucket.

- Under Axl, GNR has outdone Spinal Tap. I didn't think it was possible.

- I wish Slash had better judgement when it comes to who he plays with.

- It amazes me that people still think Axl isn't a pussy

- The Bucket/Finck line-up had something amazing for a very brief period. Axl still managed to sabotage it.

- Oh My God, Shacklers, This I Love, Rhiad, Scraped are complete garbage and worse than My World.

- Myles Kennedy bores me to death

- Izzy deserved more shit for not attending the HOF. Get off the fucking fence man.

1. I don't think Axl owes the fans anything in terms of new music. What he does with his life is his own business.

2. I think Slash was the one who took the decision to leave, without being forced, possibly thinking GnR would not go on without him.

3. I think Axl was genuinely upset that Slash left and tried to get him back, at least for a while.

4. Axl did not manage to replace Slash in terms of creativity, Slash did not manage to get a decent singer for GnR songs (probably Izzy+Duff would have been the best choice).

5. I find CD to be a good rock album, with 3-4 songs being actually at AFD-UYI level.

6. UYI and AFD are the greatest music albums for me.

7. I'd go to a GnR show for as long as Axl is in the band.

8. Current GnR has awesome live shows, better than the classic lineup. Contrary to common opinions, I think Axl was in pretty good physical shape in 2012 (vocally not the greatest).

9. CD couldn't have possibly lived up to the expectations that were set. I wouldn't have released the material under that name.

10. I'm sure Axl and Slash could keep it civil and mend some differences if let alone in a room for a couple of hours.

11. I'd spend a lot of cash for a reunion show ticket. I'd honestly expect it to be a charity event one-time thing and not a cash grab.

12. I find GnR to be the greatest band ever.
