maynard
I was pleasantly surprised by Rise... They did a great job for a blockbuster movie and this one looks even better. Critics so far have been positive. Looking forward to it. Caesar

Georgy Zhukov
I might go see it at one point. Rise of the Planet of the Apes was really good. I think the secret to making these movies good are the performances. Writing too.
Turn_It_Up
A near perfect follow up to Rise. Saw it Thursday night and already considering seeing it again before end of weekend. Amazing they flowed so well together with the 2 different directors in Wyatt and Reeves. No reason there can't be many more installments considering not being tied exclusively to 1 director ala Nolan and Batman/Dark Knight and it's not like the apes will age out of their roles. What a surprisingly great reboot Rise and Dawn have been. Edited July 12, 2014 by Turn_It_Up

wasted
I watched Rise quite a few times. It's pretty well made. So I think I might like Dawn, it looks like more happens.
Mysteron
God damn, that was brilliant.High recommendation. Val22
My husband and son-in-law saw it yesterday and they both loved it. The special effects were great and it had a good storyline. Of course, there will be another movie after this one.I'm sure this will be the number one movie and make tons of money.I say if the apes want this world, let them have it! I bet there would be less wars without humans around. lol
Sixes
I will only see this if Magilla Gorilla is in it

magisme
So it's really that good? I was thinking letdown after how surprisingly good Rise was. I was thinking about seeing 22 Jump tonight, but maybe I'll do this instead.

Amir
Got Rise of the Planet of the Apes for cheap off Amazon a month or so ago after seeing a trailer for this, really enjoyed it.Dawn of the Planet of the Apes blows it out the water. What a film. Took a friend who didn't like Rise and even he loved this one. These films shouldn't be great based on the talent behind them (writers of The Relic and The Wolverine? Director of Cloverfield?) and how a lot of elements of production are rushed, some great stuff on an alternate ending and reshoots over Skype in these articles: http://www.slashfilm.com/deleted-dawn-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-ending/http://www.slashfilm.com/dawn-of-the-planet-of-the-apes-scenes-directed-skype/?preview=trueAnd yet they turn out brilliant. I think having great actors really helps; the apes really sell the characters as almost human, and the actors playing the human characters make the most of sparse material. Also, apes on horseback with machine guns.
