I feel like Apollo isn't joking.

Balut. Filipino delicacy, basically a boiled egg, but with a developed duck embryo inside. I took one bite, it didn't taste too bad.

What was it like compared to a normal egg? I've heard people say it's nice but I don't think I could do it.

Chickens feet at dim sum once. Never again.

Chickens feet are well nice. The fuck?

It was 6 years ago so I don't really remember, but I remember describing it as tasting like a chicken and egg combo.

Makes sense

Anyone had Century Old Egg?

I was gonna, but they were a month passed their expiry date.

Ol' hundred year old egg gag/joke I haven't heard since I was a child in the 90's walking around Wing Yip with the family.

Weird?

IDK, what is weird when you were raised in a cosmopolitan metropolis?

This next religion pancake thing they had us cook in class when I was 10 for some next eastern religion for religious education? - No... too normal.

Peeking Duck Pizza? - Hoi sin sauce base, crispy duck & spring onion, no cheese -- No... still normal.

I've not had testicles or eye balls (unless it's been in processed food with out me being aware)....

Never had goose or rabbit or venison either.

Whale.

Oh....and raw pig's testicles. Not making that up. Tasted like spam.

did you say spam? gosh, I love spam fried in crisco.

gross eh?

Weirdest thing I ever ate was squid. I accidently ordered a meal that had squid included ( it was some korean restaurant I think ). The menu wasn't very americanized for the less culinary educated folks.

Since then I always ask what does THAT word mean if I visit a thai restaurant or any other where english is not used on the menu. I used to be brave and naive as I never thought I'd unwittingly eat squid because

I'd know what it looked like....

WRONG. I thought it was dark bean sprouts until I took a big bite.

I do NOT like squid....period.
