You've changed your tune? I thought you hated the alphabet boards' jiggery-pokery?

i hate the fact that there are different boards and titles, i dont hate the fact that people get held to fighting their mandatorys, why would I have a problem with that, those people earned it.  Rankings make some funny choices sometimes but at the same time there's got to be some kind of structure to this shit.

There is no structure in boxing!

Fight that Wilder chap and find out who the true champion is, is what I say.

Exactly and there'd be even less if governing bodies shied away from making you fight mandatories.  You know he's only 21 fights into his career and he's unified all the titles but one right?  The boys hardly dragging his heels.  The problem is he's just not gonna give Wilder a 50-50 split.

Greedy wanker.

Whatever your particular socialistic notions about such things are its unrealistic, in the real world, to expect Josh to go halves with an opponent who does 5,000 seat arenas and hasn't made much more than 2 million per fight.  Its worth noting also that Wilder has 40 fights on his record and he's not fought a live body before his last fight.

Didn't he get paid 18 million for that last fight? Why is he moaning about an equitable split? That is just greed.

Of course it is.  Its exactly greed.  But the fact of the matter is its hardly a stacked division and this is probably the fight that is going to make the most out of all the fights in his career, he's going to want as much out of it as he can, and if he's due it, meaning if his name and pulling power is going to bring in a dispoportionate amount of the revenue then he's going to want that.  You don't suddenly pay your milkman 12 times his dues just because you won 500 quid on a scratch card, do you?  Whats someones income or bank balance got to do with their putting a shift in?  This is the way it is looked at, morality simply doesn't come into it.

You mean he was beating up cadavers?

Have you seen Bermane Stiverne?

If I had 18 million I honestly couldn't be arsed about earning anymore? Why bother when you have enough to last five lifetimes?

I agree with you.  This is why we are (i'm assuming tons about you here) not very high on the income ladder.  Greed is a self perpetuating thing and it doesn't have a cap, its a go all the way thing and if you are of the mentality that 'if i had 18 mil I wouldn't be arsed anymore' you are probably not likely to make it to 18 mil, barring a fluke.  Its an all-encompasing mentality and a way of life.  Quite frankly I couldn't be arsed off a lot less than 18 mil.

I am also, I should point out, the laziest person to have ever graced humanity. I'd do anything to avoid a graft.
