spunko12345
If you've got the room have an island. I think it looks good but It's not structural so won't take 5 minutes to get rid of.
Chris1989
I love islands in a large kitchen, but in anything smaller they are a waste of space. I do enjoy the extra worktop space.Considering a breakfast bar in my new house, but will I actually use it? I think I will, sit down with my toast and jam, glass of oj... Gracii Guns
What a middle class conversation. Welcome to the thread with standards. Any mention of Turkey Twizzlers or Pot Noodles and you'll be requested to leave. Recipe books; do you store them in the kitchen or on the bookshelf in another room? Our kitchen is too small to store anything bigger than a box of Sun-Maid Raisins, so mine go on the living room bookshelf. (Favourite: Jamie's Comfort Food). Edited August 16, 2015 by Gracii Guns
Axls Rocket Queen
Love a big kitchen with an island I quite like open plan too
SoulMonster
An island is okay if you have the room for it. A kitchen is for cooking, so no need for a dancing floor when you can have extra working space. But I would prefer a table for eating over an island (unless you have a seperate dining room). Chris1989
I hate kitchen diners with a passion. Specifically bought a house with a separate dining room.
wasted
Its a small kitchen but i never go in there other than to get a beer. The maid does most of the cooking. She could actually bring me the beer couldnt she come to think of it.
Kittiara
My kitchen is tiny. Two people in there, and it's a crowd. I would love to have a big kitchen... As it is, no island, and my recipe books are on the book shelves in the living room.
