Fitha_whiskey
I've been behaving myself for the Xmas holiday. I was on my best behavior while visiting my parents/ siblings/ etc for the past few days. Me & missus are home now, knocked boots a while ago, and now I'm getting fubar & listening to tunes. Likely to be posting in the country thread later. ??

The parts of them that are unsubmerged would ignite as the air would literally be hot enough to cook them, the water in their body would evaporate... Grim stuff. This video is crazy! And awesome and disturbing all at the same time. 35 minutes ago, Fitha_whiskey said: I've been behaving myself for the Xmas holiday. Haha, you gotta be careful how you do that. No-one wants to come across as the self-important prick that thinks what they do is much more interesting than everyone else. A tidy woman is indeed an attractive woman. I don't think that's exclusively a Scottish saying though. If you're on Facebook, there's a page called "Scottish Patter and Banter", never fails to raise a smile for me... Did you find it quite easy to understand? I wondered if some of the phonetic typing, things like "wid" for "Would" or "ad" for "I'd" or "Gonnae" for "Going to" might be a bit difficult?

I love all the daft observational humour you find there. Usually I get "Volcanologist? is that like Star Trek?"

Graeme
The follow-up question is usually "Oh, what are you studying?" So we get onto the Star Trek comparisons anyway. I sometimes say "I study volcanoes" rather than "volcanology"... That can avoid misunderstandings, be they intentional or not.
