Ok, I'll try to quote the least as possible...

@Politania I really don't understand why you and Ubukitty had to bring up Axl to this story.... Seems like a desperate attempt to justify your harsh comments against Erin, but ok, I'll tell you this:

- If you think Axl is being attacked for his aesthetics, you can always step up and defend him. I don't think there is a majority of people who attack him or call him fat. I know there are women who are still attracted to him, so if you are one of them, more power to you.

There's an entire thread in this board dedicated to treat Axl as a piece of meat, where criticism about his physical appearance shines by its absence. You might feel more comfortable in that kind of thread.

- The physical appearance or sexual attraction are mostly subjective things. You say you don't find Slash or Izzy attractive and that's fine. I don't find them attractive either. I don't see anyone here telling you to like this or that guy.

- The other criticism we practice mostly here is about character or the things they do or have done as people. I don't consider that "shaming" of any kind.

Well, your example is a bit complicated because you are mixing up a bunch of things.

First, like I said, if you are attracted to Axl the way he currently looks, that's ok with me :shrugs: I have never attacked anyone because they are attracted to Axl or to the other guys. I have not seen anyone else doing that here either. But all in all, that is a subjective feeling you are entitled to have.

Now you thinking Stephanie is Axl's true love is an opinion, hence it can be discussed and even argued. If you don't want people arguing your opinions, then you shouldn't post them. It is that simple. Of course, it is better to argue with facts and applying logic but it can happen.

Yes, it is funny to me too. I don't know why she did it... I guess it was a joke :shrugs: I once took a pic of myself grabbing my bf's crotch... If I posted it, I'd have all the puritans giving me hell but does a picture tell a lot about who I am? I don't think it does....

Erin's kids are old, her son is like 20-21, the oldest daughter is 16 and the little one is like 8. I think the 16 years old actually commented on that pic. Doesn't seem to be traumatized about it.

I don't know much about the USA but I guess there are plenty of hypocrites over there when it comes to sex and things like that. Their porn industry is one of the biggest in the world, yet a nipple or breastfeeding makes Facebook and Instagram lose their mind. It is ridiculous.

Anyway, Erin is FAR from being naked in that picture.

Yes, you are making up lies about me because you say "that's who you are" and you have never seen the white of my eye. You don't know me AT ALL to say this is who I am but ok, whatever, I don't care.... I said I wasn't personally attacking you when I called you out on it.

I am not hypocritical about Axl. I am a fan with a critical view of his character and his actions and I never hid it, so I don't know how is that being hypocritical in your eyes. As for the physical appearance, I rarely ever comment on his looks. You are confusing me with someone else. I'm not saying I never said anything about him either, but you make it sound like the majority of my posts are about his weight and that is not true at all, so check your facts straight.

I am sorry about the emoji, I didn't use it with the intention of calling you particularly crazy but the demand of having Erin explain why she is wearing an alleged engagement ring is what I think it is not "normal". I apologize about that if it personally offended you.

And last but not least, I have never asked to Axl to explain his life to me or anything he does. If you think I did please show me because I am sure I have not. Ever. If anything, I must have asked for information about the band or new music, never about his personal life.

It was used as an example of you being able to post what suits you but other members cannot.  Harsh comments do not include vague and attention seeking. I never attacked her for her body shape, I said it's a form of wanting attention to post a naked pic in social media and then I followed up with, "just my opinion". There are obviously hypocrites in every part of this world.

You've never seen the white of my eyes either but you blasted me immediately with the crazy emoji. That was seriously uncalled for. Thank you for the apology. Can we leave this alone now?

UH HUH OKAY, here you go @Tori72 :rofl-lol:

And as a huge fan of certain disbanded acts yourself, you'll know how that feels. Did you ever see Led Zeppelin?

I didn't. Not even the reunion show, which pissed me off. So yeah, I can relate to that. And I would like those kids to see a decent version of Guns. If it was the original line-up it could be great. But I won't do it if it's going to be Axl and his merry men going on-stage three hours late. Straighten that one out and then call me. No cancelled dates. No sitting in one airport in one city when you're supposed to be on-stage in another.

No kilts?

(Laughing) No, the kilt can stay. I always liked the kilt. I wasn’t so sure about the white leather ensemble...

:wow:

Slash, did you like the kilt because it was easy access or something? Or did Axl just look good in it? :max:

Huh? I never said you attacked Erin for her body shape... You said something about Beta being embarrassed for a picture of her in a swimsuit. And after so much discussion, I still don't know what she is supposed to be embarassed for :shrugs:

* Naked is a person wearing no clothes at all. Erin is not naked in that picture. It is a photo taken out in the public space and she's wearing clothes and shoes. You can have your opinion and express it here, but what you say about her is technically a lie. The woman is not naked.

* I already explained but I will repeat: i didn't say you are a crazy person. I said what you were saying about social media being restricted to famous people and family and friends only is totally inaccurate.

Yes, we can leave it alone. I just wanted to set facts straight once again.

Bye.

Some people just don`t feel good when others see too much of them and/or they are picky about who can (one piece swimsuit can be too much skin to show to the whole world). They may have a body of god/goddess and still feel it as inappropriate/embarrassing to be photographed in swimsuit. It`s all individual, partially cultural influence and partially personal sense of intimacy and this should be respected, not force-fed with any anti-body-shaming movement or whatever.

I agree with this. I would never post a picture of myself in bathing suit online, even if I feel okay with myself. Moreover, I would never ever post a picture of a friend in bathing suit. I think that's absolutely inappropriate. Doesn't matter if he/she has the body of a model, it is regardless of age and looks. To me, that is something you just don't do. But maybe that's a cultural thing. It has nothing to do with being a prude. When you're on a beach, everyone there will see you in bathing suit. I don't mind that, but posting a picture online is quite different.

We're constantly warned about posting pictures of children online, well, I wouldn't like my or my friend's pic being posted on some pervs website either :nervous:

What you say make sense but in the end, it is all speculation on your part. You are entitled to it but it should not be passed as what Beta really feels about it.

You mention culture... well, let me tell you that most women in Brazil dont feel ashamed about their bodies, especially in the beaches. I can talk first-hand of this experience. I've been to Brazil beaches countless times and I have always felt like the weirdo Argentinian nun  because I was always covered with shorts, a pareo or a light dress, while the rest of the women would walk, even in the streets that surround the beaches, wearing nothing else but their swimsuits. I can add that this also happen with men and children. It is not restricted to age either. Older people would also walk around freely in their swimsuits and no shame attached to it.

So having in mind that Beta is Brazilian, I tend to doubt that she'd be embarassed for wearing a swimsuit. And the facts show she wasn't.... From the picture Sasha posted, Beta was out in the open beach of Tulum, wearing her swimsuit in front of the hundreds of guests invited to the wedding and her own family.

Also, if Beta accepted to be photographed with Sasha wearing the swimsuit, there must be a reason for it..... if she was so ashamed or self-awared of this, she would have said NO from the very first moment.

As for the body-shaming movement.... no one is forcing anything on anyone. You should read more about this..... Body-shaming has to do with all the social media crap where random anonymous people get to criticize others for posting a picture of a body that does not comply with the current accepted aesthetics, and for doing so, they are insulted and denigrated.

This apply to people who want to post pictures of themselves. If you are self-aware or feel uncomfortable about it, no one will force you to post your picture. It is just the right to post your picture and not have a horde of wild criticism putting you to shame.

Before I start, I want to be very clear that this is not a personal attack on anyone or the thread as a whole. The body-shaming issue is something that many of us are unconsciously guilty of especially within this environment. We discuss past looks, present looks, weight gain/loss, hair loss, outfits we do and don’t like....etc. The point is we all do it....but the degrees of severity vary according to whom we might be discussing. One person looks awesome, one person needs put down the twinkies, while another we could give a shit about. I say all this to say that not a one of us is absolved of being guilty of body shaming at one time or another.

LOL. Me too!!!! Having kids forces you to shit like this. She is a norwegian (I think?) princess.

At least it is not really about the princess finding her prince. She finds to her true self and her sister looses her love interest but finds another one. The focus is on the sisterly love though. All in all I find charmingly feminist for a Disney movie. Both my boy and girl used to love it to bits.

Hahaha yes, if I was a mother i would clash so much with my children ... Im a fucking weirdo and I couldnt stomach watching those things  but I guess when you are a mom you have to soldier on.... my poor mom had to put up with my GN'R obsession when I was a teen

Anyway, good to know there is a feminist vibe to this Frozen thing! The funny thing is that I used to love the Princesses stories when I was a child but I never felt or wanted to be one. It was all like watching from afar, lol.
