November Rain, Don't Cry and Estranged have a lot of meanings to me, even songs like Numb and From The Inside have many meanings for me.

But this song reminds me of my best friend who died in 2008, its hard to believe its been 9 years.

DAY 21 (I love this song sooo much )

----
And as I was away for the weekend I didn't get to play the last two days, so here it goes.

DAY 19

I was around the Eddie Vedders and the Lou Reeds, but then I remember this portuguese song from the 70's. So beautiful and meaningful! Lyrics in english below.

Spoiler

At first it is simple, you walk alone
You move in the streets very slowly
You feel good in the silence and the murmurings
You drink the certainties in a glass of wine
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

Little by little your footsteps wander
You get over the fear, you walk around the world
You say the past is dead
You drink courage from a bottomless glass
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

And it is then that friends offer you a bed
You come in tired and leave refreshed
You struggle for everything that you carry inside
You drink and you eat and someone tells you 'Enjoy!'
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

Afterwards tiredness sets in and your body weakens
You look within yourself and now little remains
You beg for a rest, even if for a little bit
Doubts get wiped out in a sea of beer
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

Finally, from a choice, you make a challenge
You face life from beginning to end
You navigate without a sea, without  a sail or ship
You drink courage even from an empty glass
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

And meanwhile time has made ashes of the embers
Another high tide will come from the low tide
A new day is born and on your arm another wing
You make a toast to your loves with the house wine
And it comes to mind an overused phrase:
'La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
'Today is the first day of the rest of your life'

And

Day 21

This is a song from one of my favorite heavy metal bands and one of my favorite albums ever. The song and album of the same name is a tribute to the Drummer Brann Dailor's sister who committed suicide at the age of 14.

Brann: "My sister passed away when I was a teenager and it was awful, and there's no better way to pay tribute to a lost loved one than having an opportunity to be in a group with my friends and we make art together. Her name was Skye, so Crack the Skye means a lot of different things. For me personally, it means the moment of being told you lost someone dear to you, [that moment] is enough to crack the sky."
