bentsphotos
Preceding a recent Sons of Apollo show, I had the chance to sit down with Bumblefoot for an hour and interview him about what he's been up to. He told me about his new project, Sons of Apollo, his musical background, and Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy! Check out my interview and concert review (spoiler: they were REALLY good) below! Gibson87
Nice! I like what he said about not being in it for the fame or the cash.
Mendez
Cool, but, unless im missing something, kind of sucks that even though he sat down for an hour, all we get is a tiny article
PirateRadio
Ron is a great guy. I ran into him on the casino floor during the first residency. He couldn't have been nicer. I asked him for a picture, and he suggest we go over the Guns displays and snap a few. Really cool and down to earth.

Wish I could have done the whole thing, but unfortunately we have to keep it a certain length to be a newspaper article. If I tried to make it longer, my editor would just shorten it for me and cause me to waste my time! This article has most the highlights in it, though there's some interesting storytelling in the full version. I have the audio of the interview, and will probably upload to YouTube eventually. I'll definitely make a post about it on the forum if I do!

The minute he walked out onstage with Sons of Apollo, he saw me in the photo pit and recognized me from doing the interview with him and nodded to me! Then after the show, he literally stopped to tall to every single fan who wanted to meet him (like 30-35 people), and then came to me and we had a conversation for a bit! Also, my interview with him was only supposed to be like 20 minutes, but it turned into 55! He's a super friendly and humble guy! And a heck of a player too! My favorite lead guitarist for GnR, after Slash obviously!
Towelie
Nice article. Sons of Apollo seem to be a good fit for Ron's talents and their debut album together is pretty impressive. Edited February 27, 2018 by Towelie
ZoSoRose
I know I say it all the time, but there isn't a better guy in music. Ron has done a lot of cool shit for me that he never would have had to, and I'll always be grateful to him

Would literally give you the shirt off his back.
Popular Post Len Cnut
On the forum index this thread reads 'My Interview with Ron Bum'. i thought the news section was running so low that fans had taken to interviewing local tramps and homeless folk. Ron the bum who lives in a tent on the roundabout and smells of Cider and urine Edited February 27, 2018 by Len Cnut
The Glow Inc.
Ron is in a much better place creatively in Sons of Apollo, surrounded with musicians who are into the same type of approach than playing other people's songs in GnR ( with DJ Ashba by his sides ). You just have to listen to his lead work on the album, better, freer and more inspired than it ever was with GnR, including live. Took him some time but he's now surrounded by world class musicians in a real band dynamic and I'm willing to bet that he's way happier now than he ever was despite the big checks and going places with Axl... I don't recall his playing being as impressive as that with GnR :

Silent Jay
I couldn't be happier for Ron. Sons of Apollo is a great band to shine through.
