Fiancé is going for work so I figure I’ll tag along while she’s at her conference That's the spirit! If you have time to travel a bit, I would highly recommend going a bit further south than Heidelberg and visit the Alsace region of France, from Strasbourg and south towards Colmar. Regardless, enjoy the trip!

Have been twice before but only for a total of maybe 10 days so haven't seen all that much. The Black Forest is definitely on my list, will google some of these other places you've listed and see if they're up to my standard This week I booked a 3 night/4 day trip to Disneyland Paris for my girlfriend and her sister. They were meant to go in 2020 but Covid had other plans. I'm getting super jealous now and kinda wish I was going too, love a good day in a theme park but I have to stay home and babysit the dog

Such a cool place to visit. I’d happily live there given the opportunity. Once had a layover at Frankfurt on a flight home from Morocco. I’d bought a six pack at duty free in Marrakesh but they wouldn’t let me take it on the connecting flight so I chugged them all in about 5 minutes and vomited all over myself. 😂 1

The USA is cool and all, but man, I am jealous. Anyways, in NYC this weekend for work. Working today then visiting some friends and my aunt tomorrow through the weekend.

I know property prices are higher and I guess council tax too, but is shopping or going out more expensive?

I know property prices are higher and I guess council tax too, but is shopping or going out more expensive? Housing costs are the biggy. Where I’m from in the north east you can get a 3 bed semi with a decent sized garden for less than £150k. Where I live in Twickenham that would run you close to a million quid so it does make quite a difference. 😂 I take home about £8k a month after taxes and I still have to keep an eye on the pennies. Up north I’d be rolling in it. As far as shopping and going out are concerned. You can get a pint for under £3 in most places up north whereas I paid £30 for 4 pints last night. 😂
willl
Been on some travels lately. Had 2 days in Disneyland Paris then took the 6 hour train to Nice seeing some lovely sights on the way. Had a night in Nice then met up with family in Villefranche-sur-mer for a week and went to the Monaco Historique which was really good fun. Back home in Scotland now and already planning next trip, preferably somewhere cheaper than Monaco as my bank account took a right beating whilst there

Gracii Guns
In September I’m going to Pittsburgh and Florida to see a couple of old friends. Would welcome your Pittsburgh recommendations- I’ve booked baseball tickets and would love to go to the Andy Warhol Museum.

Hope you enjoyed Scotland and had some nice weather. I'm currently on a 3 day mini break at Loch Ness and the scenery here is stunning. Have only been here once as I mostly stick to the Cairngorms area or way up on the north coast so it's nice to visit somewhere I've not seen much of. I live up in the Orkney Islands (very very far north of Scotland) and every time I come down to the "mainland" I want to move back down. I'm a sucker for ancient woodlands and mountains

Visited: - Tokyo - Kanazawa - Shirakawago - Takayama - Kyoto - Nara - Osaka best damn trip of my life. Surpassed my (already huge) expectations. Can’t wait to go back. Thankfully it was gator free. They prefer swamps anyway. Plenty of cute fish though.

Visited Glasgow, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Skye, Inverness, Cairngorms and Edinburgh. We were also very fortunate with the weather, had loads of sunshine, especially on Skye. I’d love to come back and visit the outer Hebrides and other Isles.
