soon
Knowing what we do now about Nivens spirituality he must have been very confused that Guns didnt like the nature of the "seventh son of the seventh son" tour with its mythology and all. Even the phrasing sounds very Niven, "The heart of the soul of the seventh son" Edited March 6, 2019 by soon

Tom2112
Not a huge maiden fan, but they are a great band nonetheless! They do have some absolutely brilliant songs, they are like clockwork live and they are very fan friendly with how they release music and give info on the going on behind the scenes. Gnr are great, but they haven't had the career that Maiden have had, they have not been as consistent (yep I know Blaze bayley era blah, blah) and while maiden aren't as famous outside if the rock / metal world they are absolutely huge playing to anywhere between 15-80000 people a night wherever they go in the world. You don't need to Luke their music to give them that credit!

Then again he is a jock, he might tell the Queen to shove it up her arse, which in itself would be an entertaining spectacle. Yeah, give him the MBE!
Original
I was supposed to go to the St Paul show. Then Axl came down with "throat problems" and GnR was no longer on the ticket...so I bailed.

Now, GN'R isn't political band but they've definitely picked a side, and that side being Liberal. I can't support GN'R in that aspect but at least they don't normally bring it to the show or do they?....... You completely missed the point of what Axl said. He made an analogy that compared how bands each have a "brand" or style in a similar fashion to how political parties are each represented by an ideology. It was an analogy and not a political statement of any sort.
cc4rhu
I enjoy a lot of Iron Maiden but prefer GN'R. However, to say that Maiden suck, or can't hold a candle to GN'R is ridiculous. They are a professional band. I don't like Led Zeppilin much but totally appreciate others do and what their legacy is.
moreblack
Iron Maiden have been doing their thing forever, they have perfected the art of big venue rock. Not only that, but since 99/2000, they've been on a second peak that hasn't slowed down for almost 2 decades now. One of the best.

By that point they had already been on the road a long time. Because they were one of the biggest bands on the planet at the time and that's what bands with huge albums do

Trump is the only president in a long time who didn't start a war while in office. Instead, he is the first to ever sit down with North Korea and negotiate. What did Obama do? What did Bush do? If Hillary would have won the election, millions of people would have died by now!!! As for the wall...well, maybe Axl wants to donate some of his rockstar millions for the unemployed and working poor already living in the US or just host some more refugees in his rockstar mansion himself? Maybe he wants to build houses? Maybe he has jobs for everyone or the key to world peace? Feel free to come up with IDEAS instead of these lame rockstar antics. I thought Axl was smarter than how he comes across regarding Trump. He must have personal beef with him, but even if he doesn't respect Trump he could at least respect the president. There are millions of people living on the street in the US, people have three or more jobs to get by because of the low wages and our little rockstar millionaire has nothing better to do than to chime in on mainstream media brainwashing and bashing the pesident of the US who is seriously trying to fix the mess Obama left him. Go and run for president yourself Axl and see what you can do to get people jobs, keep the economy going, better the health care and educational system and not start WW3 with North Korea/China/Russia. Good luck! Seriously dissapointed, what a lame and negative way of taking sides. Hey Axl music should UNITE people not divide them like politics and make them beat puppets with crickets on stage!!! So dissapointed. Seems like his musical talent really is the only thing left to admire Axl for.
