  1. Got my flight! I’m staying 10 days in Frankfurt. Fiancé is going for work so I figure I’ll tag along while she’s at her conference
  2. I’ll be in Germany in March. Probably too soon
  3. I agree. I was at the first Vegas show and then I caught 2 stadium shows on the NA leg. Vegas was awesome and the stadium gigs were even better i agree, I’d be very hyped for a 2016 compilation album called NITL.
  4. I think the only IEMs from 2016 are the first two Vegas shows. Better than nothing
  5. I would take Slash in GNR where he belongs over more SMKC albums. It was an easy trade
  6. I’d like to see MC5 when they tour next year
  7. I’m late to the party on this gig- Just watched the Ritz 91, and that has to be a contender. God damn, what a gig. Even without heavy hitters like Nightrain, Rocket Queen, and November Rain, that show still manages to be in the running. Guns always managed to be extra special in small settings with a lot of energy. We get a career spanning setlist this show (isn’t that sad? lol) in a theater setting with all the energy as those 80s shows. Great setlist with some real deep cuts and all the UYI songs are brand new and you can tell the band is excited to dive into them. It’s a bummer, Steven couldn’t be in the lineup for it, but Matt sounds pretty good here. Plus, it’s a show with Izzy. Even the Appetite songs sound fresh. That might be the best- ever Paradise City. Slash’s tone and playing is peak and Axl kills it. The two of them have great chemistry this gig, too. Great show.
  8. I’d kill for a 3-4 LP set from 2016 or even 2017 NITL. Can’t believe none exist- official or unofficial.
  9. Good to see you @Caraibes1! I enjoy your Fortus- posting. Some people think it’s him and Slash at the end of Monsters (I think it’s just Slash) I think his 2023 Rocket Queen solos have been incredible.
  10. Vinyl version of The General is a good mix, actually. I like the orchestra you can hear better in the second verse and choruses
  11. I bought myself the UYI box so I’m having an okay Christmas
  12. Awesome collection! I just got Tokyo 1988 in. Gave the album a spin (it is near complete, and a double album). God damn, is that a good show
  13. Yeah, that Forum show is pretty legendary. Going back to the soundboard, Axl didn't sound too bad, either. Not 2016 levels, but better than the past few years.
  14. 2016 really was magic, especially the NA stadium run. Axl really gave it his all that year, it was like an Indian summer for his voice Anyways, the three 2016 shows I saw were the best concerts I’ve ever seen in person. Simply electric
  15. Shin is a great movie. It has really interesting and disturbing Godzilla designs, some really good original music mixed in with the classic themes, and a spectacular atomic breath scene. I dig it! That being said, it does not really have a story and character arcs. It is "Godzilla is here. This is how the country deals with it." I kind of like that approach for it and don't mind all the committee scenes. I think Minus 1 is better as a movie in almost every way, though. The characters, story, action scenes... it is the best Godzilla movie aside from the original.
  16. I bought Im With You when it came out and I remember not being really grabbed by it. I didn't listen or remember most of The Getaway, but I do like Dark Necessities. I thought it was because they were missing John, but the two reunion albums have been kind of meh for me, too. I think Eddie is a great song, though.
  17. I did not see until this past hour. Simply awful. Even if this happens too often here, it is horrible every time. In a weird way, it is surreal for me seeing this happen somewhere like Prague. I am very sorry.
  18. It is pretty funny in a way, I guess Literally 9600 posts over a decade of garbage. The queen of shitposting. Maybe it is an accomplishment
  19. Axl used to have an interesting quirk. He would have other people write hours of music, then write and record bits of vocals over the course of years, then not really do anything with the tracks. Pretty interesting way of making music
