  1. Any other Sepultura fans here? I fucking love them. Both the Max Cavalera Era and the Derrick Green era. They've announced their farewell tour and it seems right before the tour kicked off, drummer Eloy Casagrande left the band. What a bummer. He's, IMO, the greatest drummer around today. It seems he's joining Slipknot, according to rumours. While I think it was kinda inconsiderate of him, leaving the band less than 2 weeks before the farewell tour started, it's the opportunity of a lifetime. He's much younger than the rest of Sepultura so I doubt he'd retire alongside them and, if rumours are correct, he's joining Slipknot which, while is not my cup of tea, is a hugeass band and would bring him a lot of fame, notoriety and money. Any other Sepultura fans? Anyone else attending this farewell tour? I sure as hell am.
  2. Just found out Eloy Casagrande left Sepultura prior to their farewell tour, most probably to join Slipknot. I'm happy for him and all, he's certainly gonna earn a lot more money but fuck - couldn't it wait til the farewell tour was over? Eloy is one of the greatest drummers out there today, and his contributions to Sepultura are immesurable. The albums they released with him were the best since the peak of the Max Cavalera era, more than 30 years ago. I would have loved to see him live with the band in the Farewell Tour.
  3. Loved Trial by Fire. Out of these, the only I didnt enjoy that much was Crown of Horns

  9. Currently in line to buy one for the Paris show
  10. I'm with you, man. There is no force of nature that can make me sit through an american football game Nor baseball or hockey. But count me in for (traditional) football or basketball.
  11. My Sepultura album run ultimately led me to listening to Cavalera Conspiracy and Soulfly for the first time. Soulfly wasn't my cup of tea but Cavalera Conspiracy's re-recording of Sepultura's debut EP and first album are phenomenal.
  12. Definitely not missing this. Going to the Paris show, most probably.
  13. The making of Sepultura's latest and last album, Quadra. Amazing record. Great to see the Behind the Scenes.
  14. IMO, their worst songs are Absurd, My World (obviously), Riad N' The Bedouins, Bad Apples and Anything Goes. These are the songs I can't stand.
  15. I'm certain you all discussed this before, and sorry for arriving waaay too late to the discussion but are Simon Wright or Chris Slade unavailable?

  17. We don't really know how relevant Taylor Swift will be in 40 years but if everything continues as is, she will be really relevant, still. There is nothing that points to the contrary. She only grows her fanbase each year, for almost 20 years as an artist.
