  1. Taylor Swift is bigger than Madonna nowadays. She's the most relevant artist in the music business today.
  2. - Mos Def plays MF Doom January 20th (X) - Lucifer February 16th (X) - Sunn O))) April 6th - Judas Priest April 8th - Stoned Jesus April 18th - Slash April 29th - Tenacious D May 15th - Megadeth June 19th - AC/DC August 13th - Sepultura October 30th - Iron Maiden December 7th
  3. The best, IMO: - Judas Priest with Rob Halford (2003): There is no Priest without Halford. IMO, the Ripper years were really dull and forgetable. Since Rob came back, the new material has been hit and miss, but Firepower was the most solid veteran band release I've ever heard, IMO, and Invincible Shield seems promising. - Maiden with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith (1999): Not a fan of Blaze Bayley. The X Factor had some good tracks but he wasn't very good live, especially singing the Bruce material. Bruce and Adrian came back, and Maiden immediately got back in great shape, consistently releasing solid albums and tracks since then, and with Bruce showing amazing vocals live. - Black Sabbath (2012): This is, IMO, the most triumphant and important reunion in the history of heavy metal. I really wish Bill Ward was also a part of it, though. But man, seeing these three guys together live is a memory I'm carrying with me til I die. The best concert I've ever been to. The Worst, IMO: - KISS with Ace and Peter (1996): Peter was completely out of shape, he could barely play KISS's most famous songs live, and the setlist had to be the same for three straight tours because of that. Psycho Circus was a complete fakeass reunion, and it all really fucked up what could have been a genuine reunion. - Red Hot Chili Peppers with John (2020): I like Frusciante but, IMO, what they were releasing with Josh was far better than what they delivered with John since the reunion. It all just sounds uninspired, rushed and on autodrive.
  4. Where the fuck do they even find these companies? Holy shit, they're really replying to every criticism, making it worse.
  5. It doesn't even have to be a startup. It could literally just be Fernando with an iphone, uploading the live footage and choosing which style of AI he wants. I have done this before and it's so bad I discarded it. You literally just need to download an AI video generator app and it will have this result. And it's cheap. Like for 100 USD he'd have all of those images he generated.
  6. The November Rain video is cringe. Especially nowadays. That being said, The General is far, far worse. There's just no comparison. November Rain wasn't a 50-dollar video made by a cellphone app and live footage. C'mon, guys
  7. I'm baffled. These dudes are not touring, or at least most of them aren't, they're all alive and live in the same damn country, yet it is completely out of the picture for them to go to a studio one day and record a damn music video. Linkin Park released an AI video but that's coming from a band whose frontman killed himself, and it felt like a homage to him. But this? It makes no sense. A simple video of them in a white room playing this would have been so much better. This was done by a fucking app. I mean... there are literally apps in the apple appstore that you can just download them, pay a subscription, which is usually not all that expensive, upload a live video and it will generate these AI images in a few minutes. This video probably cost, idk.... 50 dollars to make. And this is GnR. My band is currently facing the issue that we're all in diferent cities now (I am in a different continent) and even though, we completely discarded the possibility of making an AI lyric video cause its just still too bad. In a few years, this will be seen like the CGI on that Pet Shop Boys music video of the 80s currently is.
  8. In no way, shape, or form, under any circumstances, I could consider GITR a better song than Catcher. Catcher is miles ahead of GITR in my book. There's just no comparisson. It would be a fair fight if to compare GITR to Scraped.
  9. Between those three, I prefer Slash. While Randy Rhoads is, without a doubt, the more technically skilled guitarrist of the three, he's the one I like the least mostly because of his style. I think Zakk is an amazing guitar player, and an awesome singer, too, btw. By preference, It'd be Slash > Zakk > Randy. Who I think is better as a guitarrist though? Probably Randy > Slash = Zakk.
  10. Gorillaz made an album entirely on Garageband for ipad while touring and you can barely tell there were any limitations! And that was almost 10 years ago, I think. Technology is really facilitating the music creation process for many artists.
  11. It originated two new genres of metal music: Doom Metal, and Stoner Metal. Both heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, that used down tuning as part of it’s identity and sound. Some examples of iconic bands from these genres that used drop tuning were Pentagram, The Obsessed, Witchfinder General, Pagan Altar and Saint Vitus, for example. I know they’re all not huge name bands but it was the beginning of what would become a very famous and influential metal subgenre.
  12. Drop tuning guitars were popularized in the 70s by Tony Iommi and Black Sabbath, though.
  13. Sebastian Bach made it seem like it was gonna be an epic and super heavy track. Like it was some kind of masterpiece
  14. While I agree Izzy would be great in theory, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be interested. He damn well knows if he snaps his finger, he could tour with GnR and gain millions. He knows that and chooses not to do it. Gilby would be cool to see, since Fortus is definitely underused. And if Gilby rejoined, they could call in Matt or Steven. Probably Matt, with Steven appearing for a few tour dates, I think. That would be a great farewell tour. It's probably the best possible scenario for them right now, speaking in real possibilities.
  15. It's really insane It's like they don't want money lol
  16. Don't really know, man! I actually didn't buy it, just took the pic to show you guys
  17. Found this on FNAC. Funny it's a 2002 bootleg with a reunion artwork cover EDIT: Just noticed they drew Steven Adler on drums
  18. I like The General. Is it a disappointment after all the mystery surrounding it and the expectations set by Sebastian? Certainly. Is there stuff I hate in it? Hell yes: the "sitar" effect sucks, the bass line in the intro is one of the most uninspired I’ve ever seen and the final solo is buried by Axl’s vocals. But other than that, it’s ok, I guess. Better than Hard Skool and Absurd, that’s for sure.
  19. I think it's quite the opposite, really. If they did it now, it would be gracefully. I think in 10 years, most people will probably be taking the Slash/Axl/Duff reunion for granted, and Axl's voice will probably be even worse. I think the best scenario for them in terms of media coverage and maybe even hype/ticket sales would be to disappear for 3-4 years, then a huge farewell tour and go out with a band. Hell, if they reunited with Adler or Sorum and Izzy or Gilby, it would be huge.
  20. Just bought tickets for Mos Def playing an all-MF DOOM set in Montmatre. Hyped!!
  21. What I hope: New album, tour the new songs. What I think would be best for them: Take a big break, then farewell tour. What I think will happen: New tour of the same stuff, 2 singles late next year/early 2026.
  22. Going Down is my favorite track of the leaked/released CD2 ones so far. Perhaps comes a close second. But Going Down is so catchy. Too bad they'll never release it.
  23. That Bring It Back Home video is so obviously fake, I worry about everyone that believed it could be real Now... Holiday Absurdity, in the other hand, is pure genius
  24. Yeah, those drum machines aren't something I'm really fond of. They fit Prostitute a lot better, IMO. But it's still a great song. Solid verses, really cool breakdown, good chorus and the best Slash solo since the reunion. I have absolutely no hope for the production in the final version to be any better than what we got in the leak. 99,9% chance it will be the exact same version.
