In the spirit of trying to do some much-needed genre catching up, and not having the time to sift through a hundred films, what were everyone's favourites from Fantastic Fest?

Not Quite Hollywood!

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was hilarious imo. Plus there are 2 smoking hot women throughout the whole movie

Yeah, I really enjoyed that film. I saw it expecting some boring romantic comedy, not knowing that Judd Apatow and those kind of guys were behind it, but was real positively surprised.

I put off renting this, as it looked way too fucking predicatable . . . . . but finally rented it and laughed my ass off.

That movie is hilarious. AND a shot of Mila Kunis topless? heaven.

Did she get breast implants?

I remember her being very flat on That 70's Show.

What a magical medical procedure.

Her boobs aren't that big in the movie. She just has a smoking hot body. In the 70s show, she's a cutie. But in this movie . . . wow, she's beautiful.

Just saw a movie that didn't completely suck. 1 in 100 isn't too bad.

Hell Ride - it has nudity, violence and old geriatric 60s movie stars riding around on bikes.

It's like a porno version of Death Proof with a bit more killing. They should do more movies like this and Bangkok Dangerous.

I'll make sure to look for it now.

Got recommendations for Let the Right One In, Surveillance, How to Get Rid of the Others, I Think We're Alone Now, JCVD, Fighter, Just Another Love Story (While You Were Sleeping in bizarro-world, much? ) and The Burrowers in the meantime.

recently saw

Postal(dumb)

The Happening(now this was just boring with a slice of stupid dialogue in the mix)

The fuck were you expecting from Uwe Bolle.

He makes RZ look like Scorsece.

Got to Smile Time in S5 Of Angel "You're a bloody puppet"

Saw The Hoax with Richard Gere on HBO last night with two nailable chicks I can't remember the name of. It's a great story of how two guys tricked the whole world that they had a Howard Hughes book with great man's blessings. It's pretty funny and there are some great lines.

"Cliff, you publish this you will have a storm of shit rain down on you."

"He gave me a prune."

The Happening might be the worst movie I've seen in 3-4 years. (Movies with "stars" anyway).

Just watched The Office the other night. Brilliant.

Anybody seen Teeth? It was better than I expected. Yes, it was cheesy and some of the actors were lame - but it was better than I thought it would be.

And watched an old classic last night. Memento . . . . still love this movie.

Saw Tropic Thunder again.

"Do you want to help you're friend... or do you want to be a player?"

"Now I want you to take a step back... and literally fuck your own face!"

"Man, just cause it's a theme song don't make it not true."

Tyra Banks: You have no real family, you're on the wrong side of 40, you're childless and alone. Somebody close to you said: "One more flop, and it's over."

Tugg Speedman: [pause] Somebody said they were close to me?

Kirk Lazarus: I know what dude I am. I'm the dude playin' the dude, disguised as another dude!

Tugg Speedman: [as Simple Jack] You m-m-m-mmm-m-make me happy.

Les Grossman: I will fucking massacre you!

Big ass titties!

Some movies I picked up this week:

Poultrygeist (best movie I've ever seen. John Ford quality direction. Enough to make you cry)

Last House on the Left

Old Boy

Sigaw

Tales From the Crypt (1976)

Plan 9 From Outer Space

I woke up Early the Day I died

Roger Corman's Fantastic Four (1994)

Night of the Ghouls

Jail Bait

The Sinister Urge

Bridge of the Monster

Crossroads of Laredo

The Dentist

The Video Dead

The Refrigerator

The Spookies

Shock Corridor

No complaints on any of them, except Sigaw, which was like watching Speilberg directing paint drying.
