I saw Sugar man in the shop but couldnt work out what it was?

It's best not to know too much about it before watching it but basically it's about two guys from Cape Town setting out to find what happened their favourite musician - a singer/songwriter named Rodriguez. Fantastic documentary.

I agree. Download the ticket and take the ride.

Saw Bullet to the Head tonight. It was enjoyable. Nothing out of the ordinary for Stallone but that's not a bad thing. It was fast paced and fun.

Next theater stop will probably be A Good Day to Die Hard. This year is off to a good start for action! I'm actually going to the movies regularly again.

Yeah, I'm on an action kick lately. Seen The Last Stand and Parker and enjoyed both a lot.

What should I see next? Bullet to the Head, Jack Reacher, or Broken City? I think the last one has less action, more drama.

Watched Red State the other night with some friends.

I've never cheered so hard at characters being killed in a movie like that, evangelicals getting shot is tough to beat.

Had no idea that was a Kevin Smith movie, better than anything he's done imo

I can't comment on the latter two since I didn't get around to seeing them, so I'll just suggest Bullet to the Head. ;)

Speaking of action, I'm pumped for A Good Day to Die Hard next weekend. No PG-13 this time - it's confirmed to be an R, which nice that they've been able to go that route this time (apparently it was Fox's doing that made them cut Live Free or Die Hard down to a PG-13 with the unrated one saved for DVD). The only thing that worries me is the apparent 97 minute run time. Seems a little short for a Die Hard so I hope it's a solid 97 minutes and not a rushed 97 minutes.

Anyways, I've watched the first four Die Hard films the past few nights to get ready for it.

Watched last night:

Casino Royale - I enjoyed it, it was really nice for my first experience with the Bond movies.

Quantum of Solace - Good action but a little bit lackluster, let's say it was normal.

Skyfall - Awesome, I really liked it, best of the three, but what happened Bardem?

I've been doing the same thing, but in reverse order.

I had the first 2 on blu-ray, didn't really care if I upgraded the other two.

But a deal just came up where I could buy 3 and 4 for $10.00 each and get $10.00 off a ticket (x2) for the new movie.

So it was like getting the blu-rays for free.

I threw 4 on for the hell of it, then 3..and decided to just keep going back to the first and best.

The Master was good, but I think it's the weakest of PTA's films. It just didn't catch me the way that films like Boogie Nights and Magnolia did. For instance, Magnolia lasts for like three hours, but it feels like 90 minutes every time I see it - The Master did not have this effect. Although I expected more from PTA, it was still far better than Silver Linings Playbook, but I'd say about equal to Argo and Zero Dark Thirty. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was excellent as usual, as was Joaquin Phoenix - they both deserve their Oscar nominations.

I enjoyed the Master. I felt the ending to be a little slow and I started to feel slightly restless, but overall I thought it was really good. Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix both did great jobs.

After I wrote the post up top I went on IMDB and found this. It's strange that this film hasn't really rustled any Scientology-jimmies in Hollywood yet.
