Discuss the year 2001 in regards to Guns N' Roses.

This was the year Guns finally hit the stage for the first time since 1993. With only 4 shows played that year we have audio of the very first show at the House of Blues Las Vegas and pro-shot video of the second show at Rock in Rio festival.

One of the more mysterious lineups, and musically one of the best.

It was the last proper New GNR show really. Determination was literally hanging from Axl's body. All of the songwriters were onstage, Axl had no reservations about presenting new song after new song, Kurt Loder was singing from the heavens about this "great" line-up.

Since RIR 3, instead of coming back with "a bunch of new songs"; all Axl has done is subconsciously gravitate back to old GNR.

Hah! Then thats hilarious that this was the last proper New GNR show. They just started and they were already done. Funny that you all make fun of people that have called GNR a disaster all these years, when really you all know its true too.

2001 was the year of, "Hell yes, he's coming back!!! Damn, this band is tight as fuck. Axl doesn't sound so great and the new songs kinda suck, though." Cue Rio: "This band plays the shit out of songs. Axl looks kinda fat. He really doesn't sound so good. These new songs really do suck."

I feel like Paradise City from RIR was a moment axl wanted to go down in history as one of the best... He took his shirt off, threw on the bandanna (the only time from 2001 he did that), but the sound got all messed up, you could tell he was pissed off badly.
