LA weekly made a list of best drummers of all time

Recommended Posts

Just like that one is not like the other drum intros. A lot of drummers have made some pretty staggering pieces of music to kick off a song. Not everybody can do it, but when a drummer nails an intro, it's the best start possible to a song.

My list would have included Gavin Harrison, Carl Palmer, Steve Gadd, and Bill Bruford, Chad Wackerman, and Vinnie Colaiuta. As for drummers with great feel I dig Matt Chamberlin, Matt Cameron, and Bernard Purdie too

How does Dave Lombardo suck?

Garbage thrash metal thumper. No class. No style. Plays for perhaps the worst band ever invented.

About Adler, I actually would not be displeased to see his name on the lower reaches of a top 20. His drum role for appetite was perfection, simply perfection. Same for Ringo. Ringo gets all this abuse by stupid metalheads but his role in the Beatles was just, perfect.

PS

Ralph Molina.
