"If I'm dead do I still have to pay taxes?" // Axl is not dead

Maybe they were referring to his creativity. Will Slash and Stephanie be charged with murder?

Axl didn't lose an ounce of creativity. At least not in the studio. Don't know what you're talking about, unless you mean his live performances.

It's hard not to think of Axl as an Elvis or Michael Jackson type guy though, honestly.

When you think about it, the guy really was/is just a small town white boy who exploded onto the world stage- people expect him to be the best at everything (or something along those lines) but it seems he likes a "dad joke" here and there and what have you- fans crucify him for not tweeting and then he posts some harmless shit that must just be randomly passing through his mind and he gets crucified for that.

Shit like the RHCP mime/ass thing, or the sausages or the Cosby- like his tweets are supposed to be Dalai Lama style or something?

I wish the fucker would put some new music out there (and publicly denounce and sack DJ Ashba) as much as anybody but he has as much right to be a simple dumbass as much as anybody.

Thanks guys,

Ali

You don't consider layers and layers of guitar and synth farts plus stolen ambient intros creative?

Songs like Better, Street Of Dreams, Catcher, and There Was A Time just to name a few, show Axl has plenty of creativity left in him.

10 years for that shit though, seriously?

I like those songs just fine, but give say Mike Patton 10 years to make a 14 track album and you'd end up with something that makes that shit seem like nursery rhymes.

edit: you'd have a MASSIVE chunk of change left at the end too.

What? If it weren't for Stephanie he'd have nothing to write about. She's 100% his muse to this day.

And it works beautifully. Seymour weeping is as important to Chinese as the guitar interplay between Slash and Izzy was to Appetite. Not 100% though. Only about half of the album contains it.

Maybe not.

But he did lose Izzy, Slash, Duff and Steven.

And Finck, Bucket, Brain, Freese, etc...
