Sixx: AM World Tour & New Album In 2016

Recommended Posts

So Nikki Sixx tweeted that there will a new Sixx Am Album and a world tour in 2016, so does that means GNR will do no shit in 2016 also? or TB will make Ashba cancel the Sixx Am tour? or maybe Sixx Am could open for GNR?

Edit - I know Axl makes all the decisions regarding GNR and not Ashba, but well at least Sixx Am is telling the fans that they will listen to new music in 2016 and there will be a tour also unlike GNR Camp who keeps the fans in darkness

Anyone remember 94-2000 or 02-06? That's what this will be like and honestly Axl might come back as a producer or making movie scores. There's no telling. We know based on history that when he returns his look will be different and vocals will change. It's time we fall into hibernation and come back when Axl does. It will be a long wait.

DJ's been a part of the marathon GNR concerts so he could easily be in both bands, but other than Loaded, I don't think Axl's ever had GNR members past or present play as a support act.

Nikki's also got the photography going on as well as his radio show (maybe he'll interview Axl) and "world tour" can mean 3 years with breaks in between, not straight touring.

GNR could always decide to book a festival and do a short tour. Hopefully the next time they are touring, they have new songs.

Regardless of what you might believe, Axl talked about a finished album that he's hell bent on releasing late as shit. It will happen cause it's just the second part of Chinese and Axl said he's not going anywhere.

I've said this before, but even Axl can't tour forever without releasing some new material.

"Here's Stay of Execution, formerly known as Chinese Democracy II, featuring Brain Mantia on drums, who is not in the band anymore. Josh Freese on drums and drums arrangements, who is not the in the band anymore. Buckethead on lead and acoustic guitar, who is not in the band anymore. Robin Finck on lead, acoustic and rhythm guitar, who is not the band anymore. Bumblefoot on lead guitar and backing vocals, who is not in the band anymore."

I love that people are treating this tweet as news. Nikki has been saying this publicly since before the tour even started. Yeah, Sixx:AM is gonna tour. If GNR are gonna tour too, maybe they tour together. They played CrueFest after the Heroine Diaries came out, why not open for GNR if there's a conflict? Not to say that I think GNR will tour, because I don't, but this isn't news and changes nothing.

Could have a sixx am, motley Crüe and GNR tour

Nope. Motley signed a "legally binding" contract never to tour, perform, or record together again after December 31 2015. Not sure how "binding" or "enforceable" that contract is, really, but it at least tells you where they stand in terms of wanting to continue.

If Sixx AM puts out an album in 2016, how many albums will it be for that band since Axl put out CD in 2008?

An album in 2016 would mark the 3rd since 2008.

Axl could put together a song from scratch in a day and it'd be better than anything Sixx: AM has ever put out, though.
