Which is okay. It's just a bit annoying that you call him a parody when tens of thousands of people return home ecstatic and really happy every night, after enjoying one of the best shows they've ever been to. I wonder if maybe you've become a parody of yourself instead.

I wonder if maybe you've become a parody of yourself instead. Well. I can't speak for those tens of thousands of people. I can only share my own opinion which I hope you don't want censored. Obviously they are not fanboys, they are casual fans. The same casual fans that don't bother if Jon Bon Jovi lipsynchs here and there. Or those that don't mind NIN playing "Closer" yet again. See? Low standards. The shows get positive reviews because people in general don't mind about Axl's terrible clean voice. I do and I enjoy sharing my opinion about it from time to time (I'm not even that active here anymore, can't be THAT annoying). I have no problem accepting I don't like Axl anymore. Why would I? I did enjoy how demonic he sounded on ACDC although I don't like the band. And the brief moments where he seemed to give a shit about GNR too. You'll see nothing but praise from my end when Axl does something I consider cool. (Recent examples: 06-10 voice, AXLDC voice, giving Slash a call). Why does it annoy you when I call him a parody? A BAD parody would be the right term, actually. Ridiculous hats, big belly, nostalgic setlist, no artistic drive, awful voice that doesn't come close to how great he used to sound 7 years ago. SEVEN. I'm not demanding 87-93 quality. Fuck, he sounded great last year in another band. I am being irrational here? Don't think so. Again, I can't speak for the ecstatic fans. I'm glad they are happy. I'm sharing MY opinion. How can a poster become a parody of himself? I never had a gimmick. Never trolled for the sake of trolling. I'll have positive opinions about what I consider good and negative opinions for what I consider bad. Axl kicked ass with ACDC. Axl was very intelligent in calling Slash back. NITL is the best thing to happen to GNR since 1993. Axl sounds like shit currently despite of people having fun listening to WTTJ and SCOM.

Popular Post Changes
I had a blast, was completely blown away and perhaps lost it a bit (sorry to those around). Civil War a real highlight. The show did however go on for one or two songs too many, by the time they pulled out Patience when I was expecting PC I was not exactly thrilled. However I would have been had they excluded a couple of covers before that. Axl does really sound better in person, people are genuinely impressed by his voice but I can also agree it doesn't sound right when recorded. Perhaps that specific falsetto tone is blurred out when you are there and instead you only hear his power and that he is singing in tune. Generally people on social media seem to be blown away but it does however bother me that they feel the right to mock Axl's physical appearance. He doesn't look anything like he did back in the day but he does not look worse that the average middle aged concert goer and he has got huge charisma. Saying the show was better with your eyes closed because of his appearance is just mean, his energy is amazing. And saying "I wanted to marry him back in the day but not anymore, lol" when you are overweight and bloated yourself? I can promise you the feeling is mutual.

Popular Post Homefuck
Right. This was my 2nd time seeing gnr (if you consider the 2006-version to be gnr). It was a really intense show. NO holdups whatsoever, between songs there was like a maximum of 10-20 seconds of silence before the next song began. They really seemed like a machine. I stood by slash's side (golden circle), really close to the stage. I don't know how it sounded in other places of the arena, but the sound right there wasn't very good. Sometimes I could barely hear slash (or fortus) and the kick-drum was extremely loud. Duffs bass sounded really good though, his parts where crisp and clear. Axl's voice had its up and downs. He sounded GREAT on nightrain, easy, brownstone and cd. He was really Mickey on ycbm (but the band was on fire!) and Michelle. For my liking, they played for too long. If axl goes Mickey to preserve his voice so they can play for three hours, they should just cut some tunes and make a "raspy" and rocking 2 hour set. NR just slows things down, patience as well (I've never understood how that song can be so popular, it's just boring, except the outro). I also thought that there was too much guitar-masturbation. I understand that axl may want to save his voice, but why not change it up a bit? Dizzy played a honky tonk-intro to black hole sun. It was funny and it was refreshing. Let Dizzy shine! Axl do need to rehearse. He messed up the lyrics in estranged and he had severe timing issues in a couple of other songs, coma for example. Frank also had some timing issues in estranged. BUT! Except all these negative remarks, it was a good show. It was really cool to see the "big 3" together on stage and to see duff and axl smiling at slash when he was taking to much time soloing before they could finish some songs. The majority of the show was tight, and the band truly seemed to enjoy themselves. It's really obvious how much Slash loves to play "coma" and Axl was in a really good mood.

This thread is filled with reviews and you don't see me criticizing any of them. Please, stop acting like a teenage fan of some boyband. Please. I know he's able to sound like a powerhouse using his trademark raspy voice. But he sounds like Mickey Mouse. Casual fans and die hard fans can enjoy it all they want. Take it to the PMs if you want to continue to discuss Axl's vocals every single show.
