rockingfinn
Actually I didn't quite hear what he said. Apparently he had a hard time pronouncing Hämeenlinna, because that's a very hard word to pronounce in english!

There was some speculation that the gig started late on purpose. The amount of light that we have here in the middle of the summer (even if it's evening/night) can be a surprise to foreign artists. If they would've started earlier the light show wouldn't have looked so good. I don't know how much truth there is to this. Couple people next to me where like "what is this" and "what record is this from?" they didn't seem to like the new stuff. I heard a few people singing along to the Chinese Democracy chorus, same with Better, but yeah overall the crowd was kind of confused

No it's not. 2001 live performances included different intro, drums, and less guitars and more Pittman. Chinese Democracy 1999 demo never leaked..

It is short and everyone is still buzzing from ISE and Brownstone.. Better is just awkward and sound s like 3 different awful industrial songs patched together. Confused is a good work for when that turd gets busted out.
Litti
It was good for the viewing pleasure of the audience that the starting time was delayed, because the sun would have been too distracting.

I think it sounds more like "alternative rock" or "modern rock" rather than industrial (I think bands like Coil or Ministry when I hear the word "industrial") But yeah going from the classic GN'R material to CD songs is... jarring. 35 minutes ago, Litti said: It was good for the viewing pleasure of the audience that the starting time was delayed, because the sun would have been too distracting. I can agree with that, it shone right into my eyes until 21:30 or something hahah.
rockingfinn
I like the fact that they have a homage to Terminator 2 (Duff as a cyborg in the beginning of the screen). A good song for one of the greatest movies!

No, listening to it again, he does say Jarmo Town, but I'd never guessed. I wonder how many people know what that meant? Maybe a lot, as he's from Finland? Would casuals get that? I thought only us forum nerds knew Jarmo.

No. Casuals in Finland do not know who Jarmo is and that is a fact. He is not famous at all.

Neither do die hard fans unless they are members of a forum. It's a shame that Jarmo gets mentioned when Finland has famous people, who are well known all over the world. Like for example Formula 1 drivers. Michael Monroe was the opening act. Mc Bob could've mentioned him and his legendary band.
