Yeah, I see your point and agree - kids have always worn t-shirts of bands they've probably never even listened to. But I'm not sure those same kids would go to the GNR website. Online shopping is dominating the stores now. I saw Bad Omens and Spiritbox last year (two of the hottest young bands in the rock world) and both their merch booths had a lot of similar looking items. Isn't tie dye kinda regarded as one of those things that, like camouflage, will never really be out of style? Like it's just kind of a basic American staple sorta look? I do see a LOT of tie dye shirts around though and if you have a look on the internet it is regarded as very much 'on trend'.
