bucketmaster101
Transformers is pretty bad... it seems to Be unable to decide what film it want to be most if the time. I really liked the opening cos it was a big departure from the first two films, but when the human characters take over the film seems to get lost. Bad script, worse acting seems to be the major problem with the film, as I personally felt no attachment to any of the major human characters. Also the transformers themselves (both autobots and decipticons) seem to be really erratic with their own character, but that's just my opinion. Overall a more enjoyable experience than number 2, but has too many flaws to be considered a "good" film.On a side note, the dark knight rises poster is awesome! I didn't like inception that much, and despite this poster seeing to look like an inception meets dark knight thing, the possibility of what it means for the film is awesome. The most likely interpretation seems to be for Batman to "rise" gotham has to fall... league of shadows return? Let's hope so!
moreblack
Saw Sucker Punch last night, great little film. Like Alice In Wonderland meets Kurosawa and Shirow. The soundtrack was nothing but helpful to get the madness across.
wasted
I quite liked the Sucker Punch sountrack album, it revamps those songs pretty well.I felt the same same about Transformers 2. the human character's and story is sort of non existent. but Megan Fox sort of blocked thought patterns. GivenToFly
Ok, I tried to watch Transformers (the first one) but I had to turn it off about halfway through, cuz it was too awful. I like action movies and I like Michael Bay (I love The Island and Bad Boys 2 - two of my favorite action movies) but this one was just bad. I think I might give it another try later where I'll just skip through all the boring stuff straight to the robots fighting and big explosion scenes. Too much emphasis on the humans though (the main characters + the army) and too little on the robots. One point I want to make: STARSCREAM has got to be the absolute best character name anyone has ever come up with in the entire history of fiction! I mean, how fucking cool is that name!!
zeppelinrocksnexttognr
Just watched terminator 1 and 2. Though iwill always hate James Cameron, these 2 movies were very good. Funny how they made Arnie a huge star overnight with the lack of talent. But I'm glad. Salvation was pretty good in my book as well.

LightningBolt
I've been watching a buncha anime, but tomorrow I'm going to start watching Casino, Letters from Iwo Jima, Reservoir Dogs, Carlito's Way, Raging Bull, Full Metal Jacket, Gangs of New York, and The Fighter since they've been sitting in my Netflix instant queue.I've also got Sons of Anarchy and Firefly in my queue, but I'll save those for a later time. And I definitely plan on watching Mad Men when that comes to streaming in a little bit. Twin Peaks is on there, too, but I really don't have much interest in that show for whatever reason, despite the acclaim. If anyone else here uses Netflix, I'm open for suggestions. LightningBolt
Yep, my first time watching all of them. Really not much of a film buff at all, as you can probably tell from that.
