Martin Riggs
MIAMI VICE!!!! The scene that changed TV forever! (It'll change your life too) More recently I'd go with Friday Night Lights. Top network show of the decade imo.
highvoltage
I want to start watching Dexter, because I've heard so much about it on this board, in the papers, mags, friends etc.but i fucked around and was reading a coworkers email with her a couple of weeks back and unbeknownest to me, it contained a big spoiler.i asked my gf, who watches the show, how big of a spoiler was it, and she said it was huge.so now i'm debating whether or not should make the effort.for the record the spoiler was his wife is killed.....keep in mind i've never watched one episode of the show, so i don't know how big of a give away that is, but my gf and friend assure me that it is big.what say you guys?Definitely still worth watching anyway. I actually did a very similar thing to you and found out the exact same spoiler before I'd even started watching it. Doesn't take away from it much at all. What shows do you like Sunny? I used to be a massive film buff but about 12 months ago I started getting hooked on TV shows and now I'm kinda lacking in the film department... but there's been a good 10-15 series' I've been addicted to, I just wouldn't necessarily recommend them to everyone. Of course I was always kind of thinking in the back of my head, "When's it going to happen?", but I was still able to love the show. Give the first season a whirl and see how you like it. Orsys
Well, if we're including TV series that have ended then West Wing must be included. Aaron Sorkin is a writing genius.

Carnivale, this is one i've been curious about for awhile, i've seen Rome and pretty much every other HBO series but I missed this one. might give it a look.BTW the new series Shameless on Showtime seems pretty interesting, caught the first 2 episodes and it's definitely original. Forsaken
Oh wow, I wasn't even aware. Well damn, chalk another up for the UK then I like itYeah the UK show's in its 8th season now, if you enjoyed the Showtime version you might want to give this a try too. The last five seasons have been shit but the first three were really good and James McAvoy got his big break playing Steve in it.I'm really enjoying the US version up to now though, they've got the casting spot on and I don't think the change of location has hurt it at all.I'd really recommend watching the UK Pilot alongside the US one too. They're using the exact same script and it's shot scene for scene identically. Really pretty cool to see em both and the different approach they've taken to the same material.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a056OjNHuCwdamn, the video is blocked in my area but that's cool as fuck, i'll see if I can download the first season somewhere to start off with, and watch an original UK episode after a new one is aired on Showtime. don't wanna get to ahead especially since you said the scripts are basically the same. Guest gunns5
Neighbours.omg Sonya is Callum's mum.should i spoiler that shit?lol the perth fag watches neighbours, surprised? no ^ideal, great BBC comedy (never thought Id say that) but its hillarious, basically the storyline is Moz (Johnny Vegas) deals drugs from his appartment, and people come in and out of his apartment all the time, wanting him to rob people, people steal from him etc...its a great show Edited January 20, 2011 by gunns5

I actually did the same thing with The Wire as I was watching it, I read on the 'net something about, McNulty's funeral; I assumed he died and stop watching it all together. Once I started watching again, I realized that what I thought and what actually happend couldn't have been further from the truth.Anyway, 'preciate all the suggestions; I'll definitely check out some of the ones I haven't seen already. Real quick, anyone know anything about the Showtime series Spartacus? Had two people in IRL, mention it as a show to watch. SunnyDRE
The TudorsUggh, no thanks. I started to try and watch this show based on a couple of forum members recommendation, but every 5 minutes there is a sex scene and, well that got old quick.
