So, it would be up to the AFD line-up + Matt & Dizzy to decided if any other members should be inducted alongside them. The same thing with Metallica. Can't see the old (aside from Axl) okaying that though. Hopefully Axl doesn't push the matter, understanding that this induction is meant for the old band.I'm happy with who's in right now and think that no one else should be added. From what I've read, it's going to be up to Axl. They leave it up to the band or someone on their behalf that handles the estate, which are usually family members. Mustaine being left out of Metallica's induction was decided by Lars and James, not by the Rock Hall. A lot of people thought it was fucked up, Mustaine just said he'd rather be inducted if and when Megadeth is in, and knew this was typical of Lars and James to diminish his role in the band history. And then Lars invites him to the induction dinner! He was happier that he reconnected with them than anything to do with that. He deserves it just as much as the others and it reflects bad on him if he doesn't. I mean he's the leader of the band, owns the name and has been touring with the name for 10 years. It would be so boring and predictable if Axl got someone to read out a statement or record a video message. I hope he doesn't run and hide on the night. It would create shock and excitement if he did show up, take the stage to accept the award and maybe frighten Slash a little haha! Axl needs to show of that unpredictability he used to have.
