Cruel Intentions
I could go without the covers as for sum reason I really think were in for shorter sets....I feel the same way, and I really don't know why. I hope we get 3 hour shows again, though, considering it's only a handful of shows in the US.As for the setlist, the way I look at it is if I expect the same setlist and they add something new to it I won't be disappointed that way. I don't want to get my hopes up for something new.
rudolf1978
Same setlist for sure.
Screamin' Demon
I'd kinda hope that they drop the amount of ballads they play for show, it slows and brings things down too much. I mean, This I Love, Street Of Dreams, Sweet Child O' Mine, November Rain and Knockin' On Heaven's Door all in one show? The setlist could do with some serious beefing up and changing some old songs around for similar ones eg Dust N' Bones instead of Mr. Brownstone, Down On The Farm instead of Live And Let Die, and if they want to cover a really cool song, I would love to hear them cover Judas Priest's Wheels Of Fire. axlsalinger
If they continue to do three-hour shows, it would be great, but people shouldn't expect this to continue indefinitely. Obviously it would be fantastic if they would debut a new song, but I'm not expecting anything at this point. One thing they really should do on this theater tour is a little acoustic mini-set. That would be tres cool.
wasted
I'd like to hear Catcher live if they're taking requests. If I was at the show which is very unlikely.
trqster
Don't forget that most people attending these shows (maybe 80-90% of the crowd) are just looking for a nostalgia act, so they'll be utterly disappointed if they decide to play some more "new" music instead... Still remember people around me in a 2010 gig commenting "Wish they stop playing these weird new songs and play old stuff instead".
Bruno P.
Probably the same damn setlist. I just wish band members could pick up songs and play them... Im sure we'd be hearing all CD songs and older gems as well as new songs. But yea...its up to the singer. And he's been a boring and predictable singer these days... auad
If they aren't gonna play any new material, they need to at least add the rest of 'Chinese Democracy' into the set list, and slowly weed out some of the older stuff, especially the ones that weren't massive hits, like 'It's So Easy', 'Mr. Brownstone', etc. I'd be perfectly elated to be hearing 'Catcher', 'TWAT', 'If the World', etc.No way! 'It's So Easy' and 'Mr. Brownstone' have to stay on the setlist. Hey, I love those songs as much as anyone. However, they've been played at EVERY single Guns show since '01, and they're just a little played out, IMO. Same with 'You Could Be Mine', and a few others. It's been 20-25 years for some of these songs, we've all heard 'Mr. Brownstone' live, but very few of us have gotten to hear 'Prostitute' or 'Oh My God'. It's just time for a rotation and bring in some of the fresher stuff.this.

Voodoochild
I think the old songs aren't going anywhere. General public wants to hear KOHD even though the song lasts for 10 minutes and its been played since god knows when. IMO, they should drop Madagascar, Sorry and Street of Dreams and put Catcher, Scraped and TWAT instead. I'm being realistic, based on 2010 setlist. My personal taste would be TWAT, Riad, OMG and at least two new songs.

I would love to hear prostitute live... i say take out the ACDC covers and add more Chin Dem, but too many people would leave disappointed if they cut songs from AFD, lies and UYI

It's basically so Axl can regain his voice/breath after WTTJ, IMO. They're probably the easiest GnR songs to sing.

These shows would be a perfect reason to break out Think About You, You're Crazy, and some of the Live Like A Suicide tracks again. GNFR2003
I think they maybe adding some songs they didn't perform on the last tour, as I believe they are all in NYC rehearsing(I know there is likely a secret show sometime early next week as well). Whatever they do, I'll be happy, as I have been dying for them to do a theater tour, and I hope this is a precursor of things to come! This band is on fire right now, and making all of the right moves. I also believe they have been writing and sharing ideas for the past year now, and I am sure some of this time in NYC together will be to work the kinks out of some of the new stuff they have written. I really would not be shocked at all to see a new song or two tried out live sometime soon!

Apollo
Not a bad set list. But I would drop all the solos. And Live and Let Die.And only one new song? Back when GnR started touring again, we got four new songs - Rhiad, The Blues, CD and madagascar. And Jungle gets the crowd more fired up to start a show than Chinese does. axlsalinger
While I agree with the general consensus about cutting down on the covers, I still enjoying seeing a band cover a couple of tunes live. Would be great to see GNR mix it up a little bit (bring back Sailing, do a Zep song, etc.) And I wouldn't remove KOHD from the set, it always goes over really well live, and is a perfect spot for some crowd interaction. It's sort of a rock and roll cliche, getting the crowd to sing along, but it works perfectly for GNR with Knockin'. Live and Let Die is all about the pyro, so I would not be surprised to see it removed from these theater shows.
