Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

Autocorrect. But I approve of Luger playing Luthor nonetheless.

Orlando Bloom has now been connected with the role of Batman. Snyder should invest his entire budget in luring Bale into reprising.

There's a buzz around Bloom's name at the minute which is unfortunate. That would be poor casting.

Bale should be the priority target, but if that fails, cast Josh Brolin.

Bale wasn't even particularly good as Batman. I mean, he did the job, but Nolan was the main reason that trilogy was so good. Brolin would probably have done a much better job

If Bale's the end-all-be-all right now it's only because the trilogy has made his name synonymous with modern day Batman.

Not only do you want Bale to reprise Batman for the purpose of universe integration and general plausibility, but by getting Bale, you're automatically raising Nolan's stakes in a Snyder project.

realistic grimdark edgy

That's the nature of the Batman and the reason the Nolan trilogy was great (it didn't attempt to elevate Batman into a superhuman, instead it portrayed Batman as an exceptional human). Batman is superhero engineered by a person.

It's defeatist to say that a superhero engineered by humanity cannot compete with an alien superhero. Clearly a Nolanesque Batman will struggle in traditional combat with Superman, however Snyder's Superman hasn't yet discovered the extent of his ability nor does he have the technological or intellectual prowess of the caped crusader. What you have to consider is that Man of Steel leaves Superman a relatively inexperienced superhero whereas Batman is an old hand at fighting sophisticated crime in Gotham City.

Lock this thread. With Ben fucking Affleck as the official caped crusader, no one should care.

It's a decision which confirms the film will be a continuation of Snyder's 'all style and no substance' policy.

The fact Wonder Woman will be pasted in illustrates that Snyder doesn't intend to do justice to the Superman story; he wants to secure his role in Justice League.

Schumacher isn't entirely to blame. The company wanted toys, toys and more toys.

And Superman III and IV are shit. Nuclear man? Clark Kent curing his radiation sickness with kryptonite?

But Captain America (1990) is the worst super hero film of all time.
