I never been nowhere really :( Neeeeeurgh, s'all the same anyway 'arold. I AM NOT XENAPHOBIC, i just don't like foreigners!

I believe in white supremacy, until the blacks are educated to a point of responsibility. I don't believe giving authority and positions of leadership and judgment to irresponsible people ... I don't feel we did wrong in taking this great country away from [the Native Americans] ... Our so-called stealing of this country from them was just a matter of survival. There were great numbers of people who needed new land, and the Indians were selfishly trying to keep it for themselves.

Tasmania next month for a few days to visit the Mona gallery.

Planning 10 days in Thailand for April.

I'm always jealous of Australian's due to their close proximity to Asia and the ease of travel there, I'm not the biggest fan of flying so a 16+ hour flight always puts me off wanting to visit.

I'm travelling down to Surrey for 2 weeks on Sunday for a vet placement with a specialist down there, then a week later my best friend and I are flying out to Malta for a surgery placement together! My boyfriend is coming over for a few days while we're there too ^_^

We're also hoping to squeeze in a trip to Prague in June, between exams and graduation, for the four of us (me, boyfriend, bestie and her boyfriend). And if all goes to plan, the boyfriend and I will be booking a one-way trip to California at the end of summer!

That's nice and all McARQy, but do try to be in Glasgow somewhere in late June. If my whisky trip happens I'll try and give you a call when I'm there. ;)

Hmm.. I'm thinking of going to Spain at some point this month. Maybe.

I want to go somewhere this summer. I can budget enough money to go pretty much anywhere I want. Chances are I'll be traveling solo. Any suggestions? Let me pre-empt by saying I have no interest in Thai brothels.

Edit: Places I've been include Prague, Paris, Vienna, Florence, Rome, Dresden, lol Canada

Will definitely be in town for finals the week of June 9th, then graduation around the 30th ;)

Come to England and we can go out on the lash. :D

Do you fancy a city break? Want to see lots of cultural/historical stuff or see natural things etc? I wanna go to Rome at some point within the next couple of years or something.

Forum members form like Voltron this summer in England? I'm sure only good things would come of that.

You should go to Rome. It's the best place I've ever been.

I guess I'm more interested in cultural/historical stuff, but, at the same time, that's what I've already done some of so it might be a good idea to go the natural route, as long as we're not talking about stupid beach and ocean shit.. You can see I'm super decisive.

Gonna do 2 weeks in Europe for Maiden - so far Sweden, France, and England are on the itinerary so far. Also planning to go back to Vegas for the GN'R residency.

How on Earth can you afford all that travelling?! It must cost you a fortune. :o

This. You must have a really really good job man. How's your boss let you off work so much?

I'm dying to know his secret. I have a great paying job with lots of looseness for time off but this would never fly and I am my own boss.

Has to have a great job/ rich family. My uncle retired at 45 and all he does now is travel spending about 70 days at home per year but he worked in investment earning a ridiculous sum of money, saved most of it and still does a little trading on the side to keep the dollars ticking over and even he couldn't afford to follow a band around the world.

Hell if Powerage can afford to do that I am sure he could front the money to keep the forum afloat

Honestly, if you're smart about where you stay and watching for deals on flights, traveling to Europe isn't as expensive as some people think. In 2011, 9 days in the UK cost me about $1,200 for flights, hotels, and gig tickets. Last year I was only in Europe for so long because my student teaching in Australia had been cancelled when they couldn't find me a placement, so I had all the money I'd been saving to put towards that. I was only gonna do 2-3 gigs last year until that happened.

Yeah? Where are you heading?

Back to uni, and also looking for a place to live in the area. Entirely frightening and horrible.

On Tuesday I'm headed to Edinburgh to study for the spring semester, so I'll be there until at least late May.

Graeme, ARQ, whoever else is from Scotland even if we've never spoken, meet up at some point?

Yes? Excellent, see you there.

We can try

I'm away for 4 weeks out of the next 5 before being stupidly busy until the end of April at least, and on January 24th Graeme leaves the continent for 4 months :P
